Success!

Aiden bundled up first his first adventure outside (with a special hat that was WAY too big!)
Chris bundled up with his BIG boy hat, ready for the great outdoors!
Dziadz (Grandpa Pt.) with Aiden (top) & Chris (bottom) out for a stroll today.
Christopher looking all snuggly - and we wonder why it's hard to get going in the morning!

Aiden bright eyed and ready to take on the world at the wee hours of the morning.

We will probably look back on these days with the boys 30 years from now, joking about the days when we prayed for good weight gain because it isn't often that peoples health concerns take them in that direction.  I know Mike and I would both change places with the boys any day as we keep our fingers crossed for weight loss in our older ages.  In the boys case, yesterday was a good day - they both gained 10 ounces in 6 days!  Woo hooo!  Aiden is now 6 pounds, 2 ounces and Christopher is 5 pounds, 9.5 ounces.  The nurse said that about 1 ounce is average weight gain for newborns and about a half pound a week is quite an accomplishment.  Being overachievers from early ages, they exceeded those standards and are still working hard daily to get bigger and bigger.  We are so proud of our little, soon to be "big" guys!

This morning the boys had some adorable skin on skin cuddle time together in mommy and daddy's bed. It was almost as if they were discovering one another again for the first time.  They of course were sleeping and probably totally unaware of what they were doing but Mike and I feel better thinking that these are the early signs of built in best buddies!  I of course had to take 50 pictures of the same thing but that seems to be what I do best these days.

Dziadz (Grandpa Pt.) came over today to help out with the boys and he and I took the boys for their first walk outside.  Although they slept the entire time, I take that as a sign that the trip was a success.  It was short lived but we figured the fresh air and sunshine would do them good.  Poor Aiden may have been a bit more challenged than Chris as Aiden's hat kept slipping down, blocking his view.  Being the easy going guy that he is, he didn't seem to mind.  We're keeping our fingers crossed for continued warmer weather so that we can get outside again real soon!  The boys have already been scoping out great places for hide and sneak and their first outdoor forts - okay, maybe I have been responsible for putting those ideas in their heads :)
