A Day Worth Celebrating!

Today the boys turn 100 days old! They have made it into the triple digits! I can't get over their day to day growth and progress and how much mine and Mike's lives have been transformed into something far better than we could have ever imagined. It is so hard to believe that last year at this time we weren't even pregnant yet and here we are one short year later with two amazing little boys.

This week has been going great. We had an awesome time at the Memorial Day party at the Hopkins. The boys were social butterflies and flirts and got to meet some of their relatives for the first time. There wasn't a shortage of open arms at the party on Monday! Mike and I were joking that we feel empty without a baby in our arms. I often find myself swaying back and forth out of habit even when my arms are empty.

Yesterday I packed up the boys and met our friend Caroline and Mathieu for another walk. We decided to check out the trail that runs along the Connecticut River and found it to be a perfect fit. It was a paved trail, wide enough for two strollers that was well shaded and peaceful. We walked for about an hour and a half so I am not sure how far the trail goes. Now that I have a new bike, I am hoping to talk Mike into going for a ride in the near future to investigate a little further.

Today the boys and I were able to get out for a walk before the rain hit. It was damp and cold but still good to get some fresh air. I was even more thankful that we got out when we did as our treadmill broke tonight. For anyone that knows me, this is an extreme tragedy as my treadmill has been my best friend for too many years to count. Mike spent some time looking at it tonight and has decided that it will be a bigger project then he thought so he is going to come back to it. Seeing as Mike is a jack of all trades, I am still hopeful that it might have some life left in it. Otherwise, I will be on the hunt for a new one :(

Tonight was my night off. Mike took Aiden and Chris to his parents to give me some time to get things done. I had a great night and felt very accomplished. I won't bore you with the details but as my "to-do" list gets longer, it's great to be able to finally cross a few things off! Mike said the boys were very talkative and smiley for Grammie and Grandpa. Despite a few minor breakdowns on the boys end, I think they had a good time as well.

Tomorrow Grammie Hopkins is coming over to watch the boys so that I can do some work from home. I am also hoping to get out to enjoy a walk with the boys if the weather allows.. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.... especially now that my treadmill decided to retire :(
