Fun

Aiden mid sentence...
Chris all plugged up with his binky..

The ultimate test - who's who?  Aiden (L) & Chris (R)

Chris (L)  & Aiden (R)

In case anyone is wondering, I am having fun playing with the backdrops and mixing it up. This is replacing my desire to arrange, decorate and rearrange my house which was my addiction previous to the arrival of the babies. I am happy to say that I am now spending my time on much worthier things like changing dirty diapers, singing songs (or should I say making up words to songs I can't remember), reading stories, cooing back and communicating baby style and changing outfits several times a day for both me and the boys. As you might guess, my ability to be creative is minimal these days.

Our life is boring in the sense that we are always having fun and happily reporting the good times that we share. Friday we were lucky to visit with Auntie Laura and our friend Trish and her boys Ian (4), Louie (2) and Carl (1). The boys definitely admired and were entertained by their older friends while the adults enjoyed chatting and catching up. After our visit, we were able to sneak in a quick walk, quick because we were worried about the pending rain forecasts... will it ever end?

Early afternoon Friday Chris got his first tooth! Just kidding! I felt like I needed to add some excitement to this blog :) In all seriousness, both boys have been drooling a ton which I know is just the beginning, but life is getting slobbery. It is great! The boys will be 4 months old on Tuesday so we know that the appearance of teeth can be anytime in our near future or months down the line. I think Mike and I were both late getting teeth so if thats any indication, we will be dealing with a lot more drool.

Friday evening we had our friends over for dinner and the boys had a play date with their friend Mathieu. Mathieu is our walking friend and he was nice enough to bring his parents, Caroline and Rob with him so that Mike and I could also have good company! The weather turned out to be great and we enjoyed an awesome night out on our back porch.

Saturday we were lucky enough to get together with the entire Hopkins Family for a photo op. Grammie and Grampa Hopkins celebrated their 30th Anniversary last November and as our gift to them, we set up a family photo session. Our wedding photographer came and captured some great shots and we are very anxious to see the final product. It was so nice to visit and see everyone... well, with the exception of some pesky bugs that also wanted to get in on the photo shoot.

Saturday night Mike and I snuck out on a date. Grammie and Dziadz Pt. came to babysit while we enjoyed a rare quiet meal and had the chance to run a few errands. The boys were super talkative and gave Grammie and Dziadz a kick.

Our busy weekend continued as we headed to church this morning then met some friends for a walk this afternoon. Mike was able to get some work done around the house while the weather was nice and I was able to get in a run. The boys excitement was the conversation that evolved around 6 pm tonight with both boys having too much to say and too little time. They were cracking us up and as we laughed, they smiled. What could be better!

Our visitors this week were: Grammie/Grampa Hopkins, Grammie/Dziad Pt, Great Grammie Tag, Auntie Laura, Uncle Andrew, Auntie Steph, Auntie Sarah/Uncle Jerry, Aunt Martha, Aunt Linda, Cousin Whit, Leeanne, Trish/Ian/Louie/Carl, Caroline/Rob/Mathieu.
