Chris thinks balloons are amazing!
Aiden couldn't agree more and is having twice the fun... He stole Chris's balloon!
Chris (top) and Aiden (bottom) - Is it normal to be this bundled up in June??? Aiden doesn't think so and is sticking out his tongue to show us what he really thinks and Chris is so bundled that he can't move ...
Chris thinks the Sox Rock
Aiden agrees, posing as daddy in a big boy hat!
Both boys in awe of the Baby Einstein DVD - We LOVE this stuff!
Monday was the most amazing day. The boys "discovered" each other for the first time. Aiden was on Mike's lap and Chris was on mine. Chris caught Aiden's eyes first and gave a grin bigger than I knew he was capable of and started talking away. The talking got Chris's attention and he returned the smile. The boys sat there content as can be for at least 10 minutes. In an attempt to catch it on video, I moved and put Chris down and of course the moment passed before the camera came out.. bummer!
Yesterday the boys turned 4 months old! The boys were thrilled with their birthday surprises of helium birthday balloons. Of course they each got their own and who could ask for more?!? We were able to pull the boys away from their balloon addiction to meet our friends Caroline and Mathieu for a walk at the Windsor Locks Canal. Following the walk, Mike and I took the boys on their first trip to Target. They weren't so sure about the shopping trip and were much more interested in wanting to eat. Who can blame them? I am sorry to say that food falls top on both mine and Mikes list of favorites! Of interest, Aiden rolled over on his own yesterday! It was a one time deal but very exciting just the same. Chris is saving himself but promises to make it BIG when he decides to roll over!
Following our morning and afternoon adventures yesterday, since the weather was cooperating for once, Mike and I decided to take the boys for a walk. To "spice" it up, Mike and I both carried one of the boys in a front pack rather than the same old boring stroller ride that they have become so accustomed to. We were on a mission for ice cream. We have an ice cream shop about a mile from our house. The boys did great in the packs and LOVED looking up, admiring the trees and sky! Mike and I were grateful that we both survived the trip without accidents as you don't appreciate how klutzy you can be when you can't look down and see your feet. Needless to say, we took it slow but steady and it was a success. As we neared the shop, we were surprised to find ourselves in line behind 20 - 4th grade girls lacrosse players. I think we could have made our own ice cream in the time we waited but the girls were very entertaining. They lined the street with ice cream cones in hand, motioning to cars to honk their horns. Their excitement when people reacted was very cute! Despite the setback, we made it home before dark and had a good night.
Today I took the boys on our first "run" together. We made it 4 miles through the center of town and back. It was hot but the boys didn't complain since they got to sleep through the ride and got to get naked when we got home... what could be better!

Hi guys: Love to see the pictures of the babies! Beth - Are you sure they should be allowed to wear Mike's nasty baseball cap?! Mike - that thing needs to see the inside of a washing machine, and soon! tee hee hee
We figured we would work on building up the boys immunities from a young age :)
I've found that if I go long enough without washing my hat it really molds nicely to my head. ~mike
but does it really mold as well?
Maybe a little but who wants to get that close to me anyways - Mike
I'll bet that hat "molds" and mildews too! Come on Mike, thats not the way to get the boys to grow hair:)
