Aiden (L) and Chris (R). This is one of the few moments from last week that they were actually both still..... of course not by their choice!

Chris sporting his new Sox hat.

Aiden loves the Red Sox!

A rolling "collision" in the makings... Aiden (L) & Chris (R)

Chris is loving life!

My apologies to anyone that checks the blog regularly. I missed my mid-week post last week due to a crazy, hectic week and four failed attempts at getting my post up. In any case, we had a good but busy week..... Where has the week gone?

I find myself eating hot fudge brownie icecream sundaes by 10:30 am on a regular basis now. Why? It may be that the boys 5th month birthday was last Thursday so I could say I am celebrating for them, or I could blame PMS but the truth is that I am stressed and chocolate tastes amazing at times like these!

I believe I mentioned previously that I am pumping around the clock and still not turning to formula yet.... As a result, I have become TOTALLY reliant on my breast pump and unfortunately it decided to retire Wednesday afternoon. Seeing as I have only been using it for 3 months now, I called Avent to see if they had any warranty. Thankfully they do but unfortuntely I have to mail them my pump for a few weeks to have it assessed before they will determine if it is covered and in the meantime go without... That is not an option for me! When I told the rep that I use it everyday and can't go without she didn't seem to care. So..... I called around to inquire about pump rentals. Thankfully Laurie Swanson came to my rescue and has the same pump as me and has graciously lent me hers. I owe Laurie a million thanks... Thanks for saving the day, saving my comfort level and for allowing me to feed my babies :)

Tuesday was a work day for me. The babies were lucky enough to be joined by Grammie & Grampa Hopkins & second cousins Christian & Emma. What a ratio.... 4 on 2! Lucky babies! The boys loved meeting Christian and Emma for the first time and were lucky enough to hang out with them again on Wednesday night as Emma and Christian joined us for dinner, board games and of course some icecream sundaes!

They say that things come in threes so the pump breaking was #1. The following day, our Civic decided to give us a run for our money with a check engine light and Mike's drill also kicked the bucket. I am hopeful that we are off the hook for a while. The good news is that we have two amazing boys that light up our lives everyday!

Aiden and Chris are doing great! Aiden is 13.6 pounds and Chris is 12.6 so they are getting heavy! And to think that they were 4 and 3.5 pounds at one point! They continue to love to roll and actually enjoy tummy time now. We introduced the Johnny Jumper doorway swing this week and it was a hit. They haven't quite figured out how to bounce in it yet but they loved the freedom of being able to spin around while putting their feet on the ground. It's very cute and quite entertaining to watch. I think they would be happy in the swing for hours if they had it their way!

Saturday night Mike and I were able to get out for a date night while Grammie & Dziadz watched the boys. We had fun and were able to run some errands without having to literally "run" for once.

Our nights are still about the same. The fussiness has ceased a bit but the sleeping stretches have gotten shorter. Thanks Annie & Amy for your comments. I would have to agree with both of you and I am hopeful that starting oatmeal at the end of this week may make an overall difference. Amy you may be right about the teething too. They are drool balls and love to put everything in their mouths!

Mike's job is going well. He has managed to keep himself busy for the first two weeks and is really enjoying it so far. We are hopeful that he will continue to stay busy and the boys and I will continue to be his best cheerleaders!

I am going to keep this post brief since I have successfully deleted my post twice tonight already.

We enjoyed visits with Grammie & Grandpa Hopkins, Grammie/Dziadz Pt., Auntie Laura, Tommy, and Emma & Christian. Things are finally starting to quite down for us!
