I love the looks and smiles that they give each other! (Aiden, L and Chris, R)
We're saving money in our food budget and letting the boys naw on one another. They only complain when its not their turn to eat! (Aiden, L and Chris, R)
Don't worry, it goes both ways! (Aiden, L and Chris, R)

Do I sound like a broken record always reporting that we have had a great week? Well, the record continues to spin the same song!
On Thursday, the weather was as good as it gets! The boys and I got out for two long walks to celebrate and there was no complaining on either end. Later that evening we had our new friends Jennifer, Jeremy and their daughter Georgianna over for dinner. Georgie is about 3 weeks younger than Aiden and Chris so it was fun to visit with Jen & Jeremy and neat to see Georgie with the boys.
Friday was another great day weather wise so Aiden, Chris and I packed up early and headed to meet Leeanne at Robinson State Park in Agawam. We had a cool and refreshing walk and then enjoyed a picnic lunch. Chris and Aiden kept themselves busy rolling and trying to get onto the grass to play and snack. It was a perfect pre-fall day. Later that evening Mike and I headed out with the boys to meet from friends for dinner. Our inital locale, The Summer House, was packed so we settled for a pizza place across the street. It was no surprise to find that they also were unprepared to handle seating the 18 people we were with! After waiting an hour there as well, Mike and I finally made the decision to head home before he boys had total breakdowns. In all fairness to them, it was already slightly past their bedtimes and they were starting to get cranky. Of course Mike and I still hadn't eaten so we headed back to The Summer House, grabbed something to eat and got back to put the boys to sleep. We were actually kind of pleased to see that the boys have a routine that they were used to!
Saturday morning, I went to Belchertown to visit with my mom briefly and Mike stayed home to watch the boys while participating in a Football draft. Our inital plans didn't work out, so we used to afternoon as our chance to catch up, clean up and relax a bit. I made homemade prune baby food and now appreciate the canned prunes so much more! Between the washing, cooking, gutting, skinning, mashing and straining process, the cup of baby food that I yielded (from 20 pruning plums!) was consumed in less than 10 minutes! I have enjoyed making my own food but some things are certainly much easier to make than others.
Today we got up early and headed to church. The boys love going to the nursery there. Perhaps its the adult to baby ratio of about 10/1! They came home exhausted and both took great naps! Later in the afternoon we met Keith, Juliet & Livi at The Summer House for some icecream. Yes, we did go twice in a matter of 3 days! It was great to see them and catch up and we later headed to a bike trail East Granby to walk off some of our treats! Since the boys weren't lucky enough to try icecream yet, they instead were blessed with their first bite of yellow squash and believe it or not, they both liked it! I guess we're lucky!
We are excited to be heading to the Cape mid-week for a few days to visit with Grammie Tag! I will not be around to post on Wednesday but will catch up at the end of next week. Happy Labor Day!
Our friends this week were: Grammie Hopkins, Aunt Lynda, Jennifer/Jeremy/Georgie, Leeanne, all of our friends from Friday night dinner, Juliet/Keith/Livi.
