Halloween practice run.... Beef (Aiden) or duck (Chris)???

Aren't we all so happy? Chris, L & Aiden, R

It amazes me how everything in the world is a wonderful surprise to the boys. Their innocence reminds me just how special they are. Last night for example, I was cooking pasta while the boys played bumper cars in their walkers (which is SO cute by the way). Chris scooted over my way and noticed the steam coming from the water boiling on the stove and he was amazed. He just stared in awe. While this is so innocent and cute it is also scary as this means that he is now noticing the stove... a dangerous world! Needless to say, I am so thankful that babies are born with short arms and legs... it must have been a built in safety feature!

This week the boys tried squash and really seemed to enjoy it. I have been trying to pay more attention to the calorie content of the food that they are eating to be sure we are getting the most bang for our buck but I am also trying to prepare them for the foods that they will want to feast on for Thanksgiving! They are doing better with yogurt and actually enjoy Trader Joes whole milk vanilla yogurt.

Our exciting news for the week is that Aiden slept through the night on Monday and Tuesday! The boys have been great about going to bed between 7 and 7:30 every night (well most nights) and Aiden slept until 5:20 on Tuesday and 5:40 today. What a champ! He did wake up once both nights and put himself back to sleep on Monday and last night needed a binky put back in his mouth but I'll take it!

While Christopher is not quite at the point of sleeping through the night, he has been doing great with naps and sleeping later in the morning. I am hopeful that as he catches up in weight to Aiden, he may also being to show an interest in going 10-12 hours at night. Woo hoo, won't that be a nice treat to feel like a real human when I actually get more than 3-4 hours of uninterupted sleep!

The Gap voting period is still going on so it is not too late to vote. Some people have been voting daily and the boys now have 100 votes.. THANK YOU!!!! We won't win but its sure fun to participate! We love our blog followers :)
