I do have new pictures but the photo upload option isn't working currently... please stay posted!!!

I missed my mid-week post but I figure now I will have even more to blog about for my weekend post. The boys turn 9 months old tomorrow! Mike and I are still enjoying but adjusting to the fact that we have TWO very mobile babies! While I am sure we will only continue to say that time is flying by, it really does feel like just yesterday we found out we were pregnant.

So what is life like with two 9 month olds? FUN!!!! We recently moved the boys into their highchairs for feedings. As with anything new, they are currently more interested in checking out the chairs than they are with eating but we are hopeful that the fascination with the chairs wears off so we can focus on eating again!

Speaking of eating, the boys had their 9 month check ups with Dr. Hoberman on Thursday. Grammie Pt. came along to help as there is no way I could do it on my own! I always love our appointments because we never feel rushed in any way. We were there for almost an hour and a half and as you can imagine, trying to entertain two busy boys that madly want to move in a room where you can't put them down presents a challenge. Getting to the good stuff, the boys were weighed and measured. Both boys are 27 inches long! Aiden weighs 17 pounds, 1 ounce and Chris weighs 15 pounds, 11 ounces. They are both peanuts and the Dr. would like to keep a close eye on Chris. She is a bit concerned because he is growing in length but not in weight. Aiden is in the 5th percentile adjusted weight and Chris is in the 2nd percentile. So... Chris is going back in 6 weeks for a weigh in on Christmas Eve and we also have them both on a new diet.... a dream diet for most..... FAT, FAT, FAT!

Friday night Aiden and Chris tried a very buttered, very cheesy grilled cheese sandwich in VERY small bites! Chris did great with it and is really starting to get the whole chewing idea. Aiden appeared to be doing great until we realized that he was hoarding all of his "goods" in his front lip. Such a goof! We are waiting a few days before trying grilled cheese again to be sure the boys don't have any allergic reactions, but so far so good. The Dr. also recommended giving the boys mac and cheese. I love idea but want to wait to get to Whole Foods or Trader Joes to get some cheese that may be a bit less processed if such a thing exists??? Additionally, the Dr. is also having us add some olive or canola oil to the boys fruits and veggies daily. Lately I have been making a morning slushy that consists of a banana, some oatmeal, 1/2 avocado, whole milk yogurt and now olive oil. Sounds irresistable, huh? At least I try to convince the boys of it!

In an attempt to also entice the boys to want to drink more, we found early learner sippy cups with straws. The boys love their new cups but mainly because it gives them yet another thing to bite. Chris got the hang of the whole straw deal in no time and is able to suck strong enough to drink! Aiden is more interested in chewing on the cups handles.

Thursday night I started with some sort of head cold. Unfortunately I am limited with the medicines that I am able to take since I am still pumping but after 2 nights of better sleep, I am finally starting to feel better. Unfortunately I think Chris is now fighting it off. The poor little tike had a fever of 102.5 tonight! We gave him a warm bath, some baby tylenol and hopefully he will sleep it off. I am also keeping my fingers crossed that Chris wakes up feeling better tomorrow and Aiden, Mike and Auntie Laura manage to stay healthy.

We had a great weekend. The weather was phenomenal today and Mike and I were able to sneak out for some alone time last night for a while Grammie & Dziadz Pt. watched the boys. We laid low for the remainder of the weekend hoping to re coop and recover and we hope for a healthy week ahead!
