Aiden a.k.a "Swipper".. better known for his ability to clean off any surface in less than 10 seconds

Chris is learning to help with the housework at a young age... That's my boy!

Chris's favorite hiding spot under the table. He's so sneaky....

Aiden looks guilty as he practices his army crawl.

I am still struggling to write 2010! Working in Financial Aid, we were always working in the coming year but I guess I am getting rusty being home with the boys. Maybe I will have to start daily school lessons not just for the boys, but for my good as well!

Despite the cold weather, we have still been able to sneak in a few walks this week. The cold, bitter winds keep us inside but as long as the wind won't knock me over, I bundle the boys up and 20 minutes later, we are out the door! In all seriousness, it is quite the process to get ready to head outdoors in the winter with babies but the peace and quiet is WELL worth it! I actually have to laugh at the thought of "peace and quiet" and I found myself laughing out loud as we headed out for our walk this afternoon. Aiden and Chris have grown quite fond of their own voices and have perfected using them in very different pitches and intonations! They have also mastered all kinds of great noises that they can make. Chris's favorite is his fake laugh and Aiden's best known for the spitting noises he makes with his lips. It truly is so much fun and SO hard not to laugh at all of the silly things they do, such as narrating the walk for me today!

While Aiden and Chris are still not sleeping through the night, we are hopeful that those days may be coming within the next few months. They are really taking an interest in food and as we are able to add more finger foods to their diet, they get even more excited. This week they tried mashed potatoes (loaded with butter and cream cheese), multigrain cheerios, hummus (and actually liked it!) teething biscuits, snickerdoodles (I know... not a good habit!), pound cake (hoping it will add on the pounds!), corn bread (a new favorite although mine came out too dry) and vegetable stew! Their appetites seem to be up and I am hoping for good weigh in's at their one year appointments.

Grammie Hopkins has been great about coming every Tuesday to give me the chance to get some of my errands done. It is always great to hear another perspective on the boys growth and development as well and the boys love the change of pace and light up at the sound of her voice! I took advantage of my time this week to prepare myself to help Mike with some of his administrative duties at work. It feels great to be back into working on "real" projects and is nice to think critically about trying to be efficient with new processes. I guess only time will tell what this venture brings!

We are keeping our fingers crossed for minimal winds and just pretty dusting's of snow as we LOVE getting outside and hope for a week ahead filled with sunshine!
