Chris (L) and Aiden (R) busy eating their new carseat box. They both took interest in the box solely for their eating pleasure!

Chris is a happy camper bouncing.

Aiden is also delighted to be bouncing!

This has been a week of exploration! I found it hard to take many pictures this week as I was too busy keeping the eyes on the back of my head as well as the front of my head on our little monkeys at ALL times. The top "hits" of the week are electrical cords, plugs and kitchen cabinets. Even those cords that are well "tucked" away magically reappear with the help of little ones. Mike and I spent some time last weekend cleaning (the never ending, never good enough project!)so that the boys could have more free roam of the house. It is a scary endeavour letting Aiden and Chris free crawl but it keeps them happy and keeps them thinking of sneaky little things to do to make Mike and I laugh. Both Aiden and Chris have developed a funny sense of humor and Christopher loves nothing more than challenging Mike and I to make us laugh. Aidens favorite way to make Mommy and Daddy laugh is by repeating any behavior that was performed and received the reply of "no." Aiden is quick to chuckle and so begins the repeat game.... again... and again.... and again.

I am SO SO SO thankful for the mild winter that we have been blessed with this year. We have made it out for at least one walk everyday this week except
Monday when the rain kept us inside. The shining sun is so refreshing and makes it feel as if spring is right around the corner. Heck, we're half way through the winter with only two plowable storms so far... not too shabby if you ask me!

The boys have successfully transitioned to drinking from bigger bottles this week! Yes, we only have a few weeks left until they will be drinking whole milk in sippy cups BUT, I didn't want to get scolded by the Dr. when we reported that they were still using their mini 3 oz bottles. Mission accomplished! We have also been successful in finding a sippy cup that the boys LOVE using and one in which they can actually get something out of it, all while being spill proof to save me from chasing them around with a mop! Score! We have 3 weeks until their 1 year check up.

The boys continue to explore new foods. This week homemade mashed sweet potatoes loaded with butter were a dud. They did however love their morning milk shake (banana, baby juice, yogurt) in their new sippy cups. Chris has been doing great eating hummus and really enjoying it! He even eats it by the spoonful. Aiden was also quick to discover and enjoy one of my ultimate weaknesses, Little Debbie Fudge Brownies. We have a snack bin that I often let the boys empty out for a minute of entertainment. This week Aiden decided to give the snacks a taste test. Most of the granola bars were too hard for him to bite into but the fudge brownie was the perfect fit and even split through the cellophane wrapper to give him a sampling. It was love at first bite and I cant blame him! He's a little man after my own heart and belly!

Sounds like fun! Love seeing pictures of them! This may work - we sweetened up the sweet potatoes with maple syrup, a little goes a LONG way.
Take care!

Caitlyn,

Thank you ~ what a great idea! I will definitely give that a try. If you have any other suggestions, I would be thrilled to hear them! We hope you are all well!!!!
