Chris with his "meals on wheels."

Look closely and you will see Aidens top two teeth. Yes, we may be needing to save for an orthodontist :)

The birthday girl. Cali, pre-haircut on her 5th Birthday!

Wow! I hit the 200th blog mark and didn't even realize it! Thank you everyone who is still reading and following along with my rants and raves and our family festivies!

This week we celebrate Cali's 5th birthday! In honor of her and all of the hair and joy that she brings to our lives, she will be getting a new "do" on Saturday morning! Horrah Cali! I am afraid that the boys may be a bit disappointed as they will be losing an inch of hair that they occassionally got lucky enough to grab, but on a positive note, we may be adding a few years to Cali's life by preventing some toddler attacks. Maybe this time she won't look like a lion but stay posted for pictures this weekend.

Speaking of cats, we have a new cat friend that has found a home under our gas grill. It is a muil-colored skinny little thing that has been wandering around our house for about two weeks now. Auntie Laura attempted to call the cat over the weekend (and to think she claims she doesn't love them??) but the cat is a bit shy. Being the sucker that I am, I put out a bowl of food but with all of the rain, the cat didn't get it before the weather did. It is a short haired cat, but maybe thats a sign for me :)

Aiden officially has two big top teeth! He is also really good at knowing how to use them, as in chomping down on his brother, mom or dad! Chris is still content with his two bottom teeth. Both are making big progress with their interest and abilities to walk. I think we are only a week or two away at this point but we shall see.

I LOVE this stage! They are so fun, funny and interactive. I love how they are content just playing by themselve on occassions and other times they are at your ankles, pulling on your pants, calling "mama." They are also super cute when they crack each other up. Maybe this is their form of twin language? I got a great video today that I will try to post soon. I know I have said that on many occassions but I always manage to put that task on the bottom of my "to-do" lists of the stuff that never gets done :)

Chris and Aiden's newest favorite activity is pushing the "meals on wheels" cart as we like to call it It is am empty metal cart with wheels that is about the same height as they are. They fight over it although Chris tends to favor it a bit more than Aiden. They also LOVE going for rides in the desk chair. It may be a slight obsession but its easy, free entertainment so you can't beat that! It is also the only opportunity I get these days to get a picture of the two of them side by side. If you think you are seeing a lot of the same leather background in pictures, it's because you are... it's the new famous chair ride!

This week we have laid low. The boys went to play school on Monday and had a great day. It took Aiden about a half hour to be adjusted enough to let me leave but they had a lot of fun. Unfortunately that have a cold so I have kept them home yesterday and today and plan to tomorrow as well. Down time isn't always a bad thing.

Yesterday Grammie Hopkins came over! She is back from CA and was warmly welcomed by Aiden and Chris. I was thrilled to run out and do some grocery shopping. Unfortunately because of the rain we have been stuck inside since Saturday but we did make it out for a walk this afternoon.. thankfully, as a result our sanity has returned!

Tomorrow night Uncle Dan arrives from FL! Welcome Uncle Dan!!! Aiden and Chris can't wait to get down and rumble with you :)
