Christopher is a master sand waterer!

Parker, Livia & Aiden having some fun in the sand.

Two peas in a pod!

Chris trying on Momma's sunglasses but not understanding the concept that sunglasses are made to be able to see better in the sun, hence his eyes are closed!

Thanks Juliet for taking our family photo - these are few and far between since I am usually the designated crazy picture taker. Chris is with Mike and Aiden is with me!

Aiden trying out his new puddle jumping skills.

Livia teaching her two eager learners how to puddle jump!

This week we had a few fun playdates. On Wednesday we met up with our friends Caroline and Mathieu. Caroline is such a good sport, helping me chase down the boys as they head in opposite directions. I will need to return the favor to her in the future should her family expand and she need an extra set of hands!

On Thursday Mike and I made the decision to stop the boys new medication. It didn't seem to be helping their appetite and instead made them super energized bunnys that were cranky and uncomfortable. They were sleeping less so I am happy so say that being off the medication has made a small difference. I am thrilled to say that we have an appointment for Christopher at CT Children's Medical Center this coming Thursday! Yippee - after over a week of waiting to get a returned phone call, I am so happy to get an appointment quickly. Speaking of growth, I was disappointed to have to pull out the same fall clothes that the boys wore last year at this time. I think I may have no choice but to start getting crafty, sewing my own pants for the boys as length wise, nothing fits but their waist lines are too small, or should I say none existent and they can't keep up any pants! Poor Chris moons people all the time and trips as his pants fall down to his ankles. It's funny but childrens clothing lines really don't have belt loops so even a toddlers belt isn't an option. I guess our choice is to hope CCMC has some good suggestions!

Ohhh what a weekend! The sun was shining and the boys were loving this last stretch of summer!

We had a super fun playdate on Friday morning with our friends Emme, Elliot and Karen. It is always fun to see the boys playing and sharing while learning the boundaries of playing with other kids. I of course LOVED the company and enjoyed the chance to catch up with Karen in between tackling the 4 kiddos! We hope our friends are up for more playdates in the future!

On Friday night we packed up and headed to Belchertown for a visit with Grammie & Dziadz Pt, GG Mimi, Auntie Laura and Aunties friend, Eric. The boys couldn't have been happier running around in the woods and backyard and loved their chance to soak up the fresh air. (Can you soak up air??? We did!) We all loved visiting and were thrilled to have Grammie and Dziadz come to our house for some more fun last night! Mike and I went out to run some errands and stopped for some delicious icecream. What a treat!

Yesterday afternoon we had the time of our lives on the Connecticut River with our friends the Lockes. Aiden and Chris were unsure about the boat ride but LOVED the beach once we settled in and found a stop to set up camp. The location couldn't have been more ideal - a small beach with warm inlets and shallow, clean water. With 6 adults and 6 kids, there was plenty to keep us entertained and I haven't seen Chris and Aiden more independent and loving it! They loved watching the big kids, Parker and Livia, and tried hard to keep up. They were having so much fun, we stayed out until almost 2:30! We were hopeful that naps would happen on the ride home but I think they were still on cloud 9 from all of the sand, sun and fun and wanted to be sure they didn't miss anything. It was a super fun day for all of us and we were thankful to have Grammie and Dziadz around at night to ease the overtired, crankyness!

This afternoon Mike is heading out for a golf tournament so I will be laying low with the boys but with the cool breeze and sunshine, I don't think anyone can complain!
