Firemen to the rescue

Aiden to the rescue!

Chris and Grammie getting in some snuggles.

Prep time!

Chris working hard to fit on the top of the pumpkin (naughty Daddy forgot to make "notches.")

Scooping out the "guts"

Yes, Aiden was really riding his pumpking saying "tractor." Humm.. Maybe we have a slight obsession with tractors?

I LOVE this pic because it brings me back 25 years... The boys were pouring over the Toys R Us Wish Book that we got in the mail. It so innocent when they don't realize that all of the things in that catalog are real things that they could actually own someday but instead just get excited about seeing the pictures. Can this last forever?

I loved it when they woke up the next morning and went running over the catalog to look some more. Boys Toys R Us, you really know how to get your target audience successfully!

The boys think that everything is meant to be climbed, pushed or at least fully investigated.

More climbing... this time of the baseboard heating and with a smile on his face, knowing well what Mr. Chris was doing...

Dziadz was an amazing help this week visiting our sick boys when he could. We loved our time with him!

Yeah! Christmas is 55 days away! I apologize to those who may be stressed out by my countdown but it's a cute little counter and I couldn't resist! For selfish reasons and my own love of Christmas, it was a perfect way for me to see how many days I have left to be excited for! Heck, it is so fun; maybe I will keep it up year round. Just kidding!

So I am mixing it up and sending this post early. We have a lot of pictures to share so why wait?

We started our Halloween celebrations early and we got our groove on by dressing up today! The costumes were a hit! We visited Uncle Dave and Aunt Lynda who live down the street from us. Aiden made himself at home and in no time at all was leaving teeth marks in Aunt Lynda's fake fruit display. Who's kids are they anyway? Sorry about that Aunt Lynda! You would think the kiddos like food or something. The boys loved and were loved to death by their two dogs who were so gentle and affectionate! After our visit we headed to see Grammie & Grandpa Hopkins and Auntie Steph at Grammie and Grandpa's church Halloween party. The boys were shy at first but unstoppable once they warmed up. I was shocked that they actually kept their fireman coats on the entire afternoon AND night! Success! The hats weren't the best fit so I'll take the blame for the lack of interest there and to top off their Halloween costumes they had special fireman boots from Grammie and Dziadz Pt. They were a hit! They loved seeing the other kiddos dressed up and of course loved all of the treats. It was like an early Christmas for them with all of their special goodies!

Aside from dressing up, we craved pumpkins this morning and Aiden and Chris were great helpers. They actually enjoyed participating which was good because we were doing an art painting project before pumpkins and neither wanted to get their hands dirty. Really? Boys that don't like to DIG into messy paint? Not sure about that… I was thankful to see that wasn't a clue of what was to come with the pumpkin craving. Tomorrow is another fun filled day so hopefully I'll post again soon!

Happy, happy Halloween everyone!
