Changing fonts adds to much fun to my wonderful world of blogging. Oh, it's the simple things!
Yes, it has been the same old, same. A whole lot of fun with people that we love and enjoy so much! We got to spend some time with my friend Leeanne, our friends the Fisher's, Auntie Laura, Grammie Pt., Dziadz Pt. and Uncle Andrew. It was a fun, busy weekend. Mike and I got out for a date night on Saturday and had way too much fun at Toys R Us. I seriously think that toy shopping is way more fun as an adult than as a child, maybe just because you can actually get what you what for once without having to ask your mom and dad? I was also blown away by the fact that you can easily spend $400, yes $400 on a John Deer kids riding tractor. ONE tractor! Unbelievable, especially given that is as much as a real lawn mower! We had fun poking around and brain stormed a few of our Christmas/birthday ideas for the boys. Oh the possibilities and the money that you can spend soooo easily! We then headed to the mall, Trader Joes and Best Buy. Adult time and adult conversations are the best. Grammie and Dziadz Pt reported that they also enjoyed their date night with Aiden and Chris. They are good sports, spoiling Mike and I as we get out as often as we did pre-kiddos!
Playschool starts on Monday and I am a bit nervous about how the separation will go for the boys. I can foresee Aiden having a tough time with Mommy leaving so I am hopeful that they will get fun, energetic students that can distract and enjoy the boys as much as I do! I am looking forward to having 45 minutes of Mommy time while they are playing.
Small but fun feats this week:
- The boys are now saying "mooo" for a cow in place of their previous "baa"!
- The boys are both able to tell you that a ghost says "boo!" Just in time for Halloween….
- The teeth are coming out of every nook and cranny.. literally!
- Hide and Seek is the new in. The only trick is that they hide in the same spot again and again and again. Great game for Mommy!
- Aiden is fascinated with the potty and his reflection in the handle. I can honestly say I never got close enough to know I would be able to see my reflection!
- Christopher is practicing to be a soccer player. If it is in front of Chris then it is fair game to be kicked!
- The boys Halloween costumes are finally done… both of them…. The only problem is that they refuse to wear them. We will have to work on that. It's a good thing I gave myself 2 weeks to get them "warmed up!"
