Tis the season! I hope others were able to enjoy the snow flurries that we witnessed in Southwick, Ma on Saturday morning. It truly made it feel like Christmas was on it's way, so as you know, I wasn't complaining!

Our week couldn't have been better! For the first time in a long time, I was on top of all of my holiday preparations and even got to the "extra's!" Starting my prep the week before and being home during the day with the boys did the trick. Even Mike commented that I (and I quote) "didn't freak out even once!" I was able to enjoy the cooking, baking and cleaning and didn't feel rushed. It was honestly enjoyable. So... Thanksgiving Day went out without a hitch. Mike was able to get home from work a bit early on Wednesday which allowed me to get a few things in the oven. My friend Kym and I were laughing because as we were catching up on the phone on Wednesday, we both had our mixers going at the same time. I think as mommies, you become queens of multi-tasking.

Thanksgiving morning was brisk but in keeping with tradition, we headed out for a family walk. I love how cheerful everyone was! We came home, finished our last minute prep work and waited for our company to arrive. We had 13 adults and 2 kiddos and lots of delicious foods, drinks, desserts and unbeatable company! We ate, relaxed and enjoyed some entertainment by "Double Trouble" featuring Aiden and Chris.

I was among the crazies to hit the stores early Friday morning and loved it! I love the spirit and shopping among the long lines and crazy (sometimes mean) people really makes it feel like Christmas. I could have done without the lady infront of me eating nachos and cheese at 5:20 am at Target but I guess if she can stomach it, then more power to her! I got more than half of my shopping done and I am pleased with my purchases. My mom was my righthand man and was a great sport, putting up with me. We actually approached the day with two rounds of shopping. Round one was early, early. We went home, ate lunch, unpacked our cars and met up with my friends Leeanne and Jill for some mid-day outlet shopping. It was great! I felt a bit "off" only seeing a few hours of the boys but I had so much fun and feel so good about all that I got done. The boys spent the day with Daddy and their afternoon was spent over at Grammie and Grandpa Hopkins.

Yesterday morning we headed to Southwick to visit. Aunt Martha and Uncle Todd were up from South Carolina visiting for the weekend and Grammie Tag is officially back and living in Massachusetts as of this weekend! It was so nice to catch up and awesome for the boys to meet Uncle Todd for the first time. The boys were in seventh heaven with all of the company that was there throughout the morning and they were happy as can be. We came home for naps and enjoyed a relaxing evening. I now have my Christmas cards in the works!

Today we are home from church since the boys both having lingering colds that don't seem to be improving. After naps we are headed to Belchertown to celebrate Grammie Pt's birthday and Dziadzu and Grammie Pt's 35th wedding anniversary. It should be a fun afternoon for all! We have a lot of fun plans in the week ahead so I am hoping that these colds decides to find another place to land sometime soon! I am also hoping for some good cyber Monday sales as we have a coffee machine that kicked the bucket today, a washing machine that is being VERY temperamental as of Wednesday and a car that just had some major repairs. We are also hoping that the old wives tale holds true that terrible things come in three's as that would mean that we are off the hook for a while! Happy Holidays to all!
