Mike and his mini-me, Aiden at the playground.
Could they be any cuter? Auntie and Eric on their way to a special wedding.
Oh hello, Aiden.
Chris in Elmo's lap.
A happy Aiden, tractor in tow.
A happy Chris, tractor in tow.
The awesome rock wall at the playground. Would it be wrong if I went to play there myself?
The final product of my bureau re-do. I plan to label the drawers for the boys so that they can help clean up their toys.
The ulgy duckling "before" bureau shot. With a little (okay, a LOT) of scraping, a little paint, a new back and side panel and some patience, it's not too shabby!
Playschool went well on Thursday and I even managed to sneak into the room next door for the last 20 minutes and the boys did great without me. Maybe we are making some progress, yippee!
On Friday we took a drive to Bristol, CT to visit GG Babci with Grammie and Dziadz Pt. The boys loved running circles around Babci's house and both were quite taken by her piano. She was a great sport and let them be curious little toddlers and encouraged them to have fun. We all enjoyed our visit and hope to see her again soon!
We had a great weekend with a fun visit from Grammie Pt on Saturday morning. I headed out early with her to check out some local craft fairs to put in the holiday spirit. I can't wait to decorate... I am officially no longer a closet Christmas music listener! I brought up the remaining CD's this weekend (I have quite the collection) and Mike didn't complain (YET) so we have been listening sense. I am in my glory!
Saturday afternoon Auntie Laura and her friend Eric came for a visit on their way to a wedding. We all had fun catching up and the boys enjoyed putting on a show as usual. Later Saturday afternoon we headed to a playground to let the boys get some fresh air and burn some energy. What a day!
Today Mike and I had nursery duty at church and are so thankful that we don't have 9 little ones of our own because it is amazing how quickly the volume can elevate with that many little tikes playing together. After church we headed home and enjoyed a visit from Grammie and Grandpa Hopkins who are back from traveling for the past week. The boys loved seeing them and squeeled with delight when they saw them.
Even with an extra hour and a relaxing weekend, the time still flew by.
We're back to playschool tomorrow and have a playdate to look forward to. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for happy, independant boys at school tomorrow...but we shall see. Now I'm off to tackle starting to clean our basement. This job appears to be a never ending task. I can't wait until I can have two little helpers to assist with the clean up duties!
