This cracked me up because the boys totally initiated this on their own. Chris dumped the puzzle piece bucket and hopped in and Aiden started pushing. The giggling wasn't far behind!

Drawing "tractors." Not sure what Aiden was thinking based on the look on his face (L)

Another "ahh" moment. Mike was working late and I attempted to read them bedtime stories on my own but they decided they didn't need Mommy either and Aiden took it upon himself to read to Chris. Can I please place an order for a twin for myself or is it too late?

Puppy dog Chris.

Puppy love!

Success: Making it through playschool and being able to leave the boys ALONE for 30 minutes for the first time this semester… YES! I scored and went home today to get a load of laundry done, set up lunches for A & C and headed back to be greeted by two happy monkeys. Sometimes it's the small things.

I am also very pleased to say that I am also almost through completing my project of cleaning and purging the basement. If you have seen the room recently, you will know that it was no small feat! We were on baby gear overload and were in dire need of some organization so I can check that one off my list, at least for a few month months until it needs to be reassessed.

Aiden has now mastered opening, closing and locking all doors in the house that have not been baby proofed. So yes, we will be investing in some more door knob covers. The boys are also working hard to try out new words. They regularly say "all done" and "more" at meal times and we are working on trying to get them to say "milk" rather than sign for milk.

I think both Aiden and Chris have surprised Mike and I as they have quickly adjusted to the time change. Within two days, Chris is now sleeping until 6:15 and Aiden until 6:30ish. Hopefully I am not jinxing myself by putting this in writing. We are especially excited about this because they will be doing to spend this coming weekend at Grammie & Dziadzu's so we won't have to feel too too guilty about they getting up with the roasters while Mike and I enjoy a cozy morning in bed, ALONE on Sunday… We really can't wait!

On Monday the boys went to playschool and had fun but I stayed with them as I didn't have the ability to sneak out without them getting upset. Later Monday afternoon we had a fun play date at our house with our friends Mathieu and Caroline. For once, Caroline and I were able to actually catch up as she is usually super about chasing one of my boys while I chase the other, lending to a difficult conversation for the Mommy's. It is so nice to see the kiddos play and explore together and it is hard to believe that Mathieu and the boys were only about 3 months old when we met. My how time flies…

Tuesday Grammie Hopkins came over to help me get some Mommy time. As always, I was super lucky to get out to run my errands and get my grocery shopping done for the week. I am spoiled. Following naps yesterday, Patty our OT came over for our monthly visit. In reviewing our goals with her it seems as if they boys are doing well and meeting the objectives that we had established a few months back so I am very pleased.

Today the boys went to playschool in the morning and did great! After naps they were stuck with me for the afternoon but we had fun reading books, doing puzzles, blowing bubbles, and running around a but until the afternoon cranks set in and thankfully daddy's return home was only a few short hours behind….. What fun it is to see life through the eyes of a 20 month old. Now if only we can continue to master this "communication" thing we will be all set!
