Uncle Todd and cousin Christian help the boys on a truck ride at Mammie and Grandpa's.
Cousin, Emma has a new reading partner, Aiden!
The culprit.... AIDEN!
The happy recipient... Chris
Ohhh, the games they play... Aiden (top) teasing Chris (bottom).
This was our present to end 2010. The CRAZY winds literally ripped our porch door in half. We are now welcoming all wild animals looking for a place to stay throughout the winter as we have decided to go doorless until next summer. Thankfully it was just the back porch that was affected.
So yikes.. this post is LONG overdue as are pictures. My sincere apologies as my internet has not been enjoying or cooperating the later part of 2010 and beginning of 2011. Let's just hope it can keep me blogging as we head into a wonderful new year!
Mike said it nicely when he said that the 364 days surround Christmas are all about waiting for one that magical day for me! I had to laugh when I realized that my Christmas countdown started over for next year already! Yes, a scary thought!
Happy 2011 everyone! I hadn't realized until I looked at my clock that yesterday was 1-1-11. Kinda neat! We had a relaxing weekend and New Year. Mike has Friday off and for once, a long weekend actually felt like a long weekend because we were home for most of it.
Thursday night the Senf's and Grandpa Hopkins came for a visit and brought along a delicious dinner. The Senf's were up for the week from South Caroline so it was great to see them and the boys LOVED the company. You can probably guess, but they were happy campers to get in some hide and seek and piggy backs! I think it is safe to say that we all had fun. A & C certainly didn't want the night to end and bedtime to come.
New Years Eve we stopped over to the Hopkins to visit with Aunt Martha, Uncle Todd, Christian and Emma before they headed back to sunny SC. We had a delicious dinner and a fun night, with the boys more than willingly providing entertainment. Being as I am getting old, I made the smart adult decision to go to bed at 11 so that I could enjoy the day on Saturday. Yes, I am OLD and I am taking Mike's night life down with me!
Today we went to church and were told that the boys "love to be the center of attention" in the nursery. There is no denying that! After naps, we were hoping to head to visit Great Grandma Tess in the nursing home but they were on lock down because of illness so we opted to stay home and enjoyed a visit with Mammie & Grandpa Hopkins at our house. Because of abbreviated naps, A & C were starting to get a case of the cranks so Mike and I brought them to the play place at the Enfield Square Plaza and they had a blast. What an enjoyable, relaxing way to start 2011!
