Down and out

Really? What pals - Aiden was keeping Chris company while he wasn't feeling well and was taking might good care of him, even rubbing his back! I want a twin like that!
Chris taking the first break in his LIFE and slowing down to lay on the couch (No thats not a cigar, its a pretzel rod!)!

The boy gang. Chris with Joel and Aiden with Daddy.

Okay, enough is enough. Spring is here and we are ready for the good health that goes along with it! Poor A & C have been battling something and something nasty since last Thursday night. Aiden seems to be improving on his own but we finally caved in and brought poor Chris to the pediatrician's this morning. If you're reading this blog, you know Chris and you know that when he wakes up and says he wants to go back to lay in his bed something is wrong…. So off we went and home we came with another prescription for antibiotics. It hadn't even been a month since his last ear infection so they had to give him a stronger dose and he is just knocked down and getting his tiny little behind licked by these bad germs. He has yet another ear infection (3rd in 6 months but NONE previously!) and an infection in his eyes. His eyes water all day long and just looking at him makes my eyes want to water. So tomorrow is a new day and I am hopeful that it will be a healthier one!

We have had a great week despite catching a case of the cooties. Mike's friend Joel was up for a visit and stayed at our house for part of it. We loved having him and the boys have been peering out the window calling his name since he left. I would say he has a fan club. Poor Joel was a great sport and put up with us and our illnesses and we keep our fingers crossed that he may have some luck in staying healthy himself! Mike took some time off from work to visit and we enjoyed having the company. Especially given that we have had to cancel all play dates since last Friday. We need friends! We miss them! Boy am I complainy or what? (yes, I made my own word!) I slipped out last night for a shopping adventure with my partner in crime, Leeanne and was excited to treat myself to a few things. There's nothing better than shopping therapy! Especially when you can't get in trouble because it's for the essentials like sneakers and underwear! I don't discriminate and will shop for anything and everything… well maybe that's not so true….

So we hope to be back in our grove by the end of this week and can't wait to have some friends over! If the weather man is reading, we would also like to put in one tall order for some wonderful, warm spring weather so we can get outside and get the fresh air that we need to get healthy!

I am off to get a second opinion on my very expensive tooth tomorrow and am hopeful that maybe they will have a good solution. Mamie is coming over for some A & C time and the boys can't wait! I'll keep you posted about my good news… hopefully!
