Aiden on his mission to get as messy as possible while at the brook on Friday.
Chris and his look of trouble.
Boys will be boys.
Best buds. Aiden (L) and Chris (R)
They were even willing to give each other a kiss at Mommy's request.
Boredom with the rain. Chris.... painting with shaving cream.

The boys at Jonathan's Dream Playground. I wasn't sure we were going to make it past the enterance where they found this cow that could be "driven!"

Fortunately we had an incredible weekend! Unfortunately my internet wasn't working so I wasn't able to share it with you until today.
We had a quiet week end with Ashley visiting on Thursday and a day home on Friday. I knew A & C's patience with me is limited when we are home all day so we decide to mix it up and we went for an early morning adventure to the brook behind our house. We walked over and the boys were having the blast but the mosquito's were having a banquet at our expense. SO... I convinced the boys to head home (thankfully it is literally next door and a 5 min walk at a 2 year old pace) but telling them that they could bring their dump trucks, pails, etc. We loaded up our wagon, sprayed ourselves like crazy, got a snack and headed back for an hour and a half. They were in their glory. Like true boys, they love to be outside. Of course convincing them to come home was another story. Chris decided to throw a fit and threw himself into a bed of poison ivy. You know how much I love him for the fact that I rescued him despite my extreme sensitivity to this wonderful plant. Oh Chris..... so we headed home, Chris tucked under my arm less than pleased and wiggling like crazy to wash like crazy. So far so good. Mamie came for a quick visit and we were happy to see her! The weather has been ideal so after Mike got home from work we headed for a walk and went to Highland Park Market to enjoy some pizza. Yum! Aiden and Chris walked/ran the whole mile home and were totally ready for bed.
Saturday we had a relaxing morning at home and walked to the farmer's market in the center of town. I am in LOVE with the fact that we can walk to so many places from home. It's been perfect because it gives us something to kill an hour or two whenever needed and the exercise and fresh air are good for all of us. We all had special plans on Saturday night. A & C has a super special sleepover at Grammie and Dziadzu's. They talked about it all day long and when we arrived, they couldn't have been any more excited. Mike and I remembered what it felt like to be young again, out with our friends Juliet and Keith. We had a blast and the boys had a blast and it was a win, win for all of us! We owe Grammie and Dziadzu a great big thank you!
Mike and I caught up on some chores at home today before headed to my parents to pick up our monkeys and enjoy a delicious dinner. Life it good... too good.... and we are truly blessed!
