We are 2 weeks into our sorting/organizing/re-arranging basement project and it looks like we haven’t even touched it! Mike started the process of replacing our basement windows this weekend as he said “they were built to be there for a lifetime.” He’s been working hard and it hasn’t been easy but we will get there eventually. Diadzu came to help today and we have one out of the four windows completely removed. Like I said, it could be a long process
Here is our little helper Aiden in action.
Thursday we had a great day with Ashley. The weather kept us inside but we made some crafts, read some stories and found plenty to keep us busy and content.
Friday we did some early morning baking then we decided to go for a drive to enjoy the weather. While Mike enjoyed one last game of golf, I took A & C to a farm festival in Simsbury. They were great sports and wore their Halloween costumes and really got a kick out of seeing all of the other kids dressed up too. We enjoyed some good, animals and lots of sight seeing before heading home for bed.
Saturday we did some errands before meeting the Locke’s at Foster Farm in South Windsor. We kept the kiddos running enjoying the corn maze, hayride, sandpits, play structures, race track, animals and food. Happy kiddos make for happy parents and it was fun to see the kids enjoying themselves so much. Here is a glimpse of some of our fun!
Today Grammie, Dziadzu and Auntie Laura came over after church. We all loved the company. Daddy and Dziadzu were hard at work on the basement while the ladies entertained the little men. We had great company and great fun and our first attempt at Christmas card pictures. I am in the Christmas spirit already, can you tell?!
Here is evidence of our fun at the playground today while the guys were home and hard at work.
If Chris were older, he would hate me for sharing this but fortunately for me, he can’t read… yet. Tonight after he was already down for the night he announced that he had to come out to go to the bathroom. Mike helped him out and to the potty where he then proceed to tell us that he needed some privacy, a reasonable enough request. I moved into the living room on the couch where he then continued chattering away for the next 15 minutes. “Hey Mom, do those white chairs collapse? Yes. Does my booster seat collapse? Yes. So two things collapse? Yes. Oh, do the big brown chairs collapse? No. Oh – Do I go pee pee out the front? Yes.” (and we’ll leave it at that as the coming questions could get me in trouble!) I think our definitions of privacy may vary significantly. These kiddos crack me up!
