What have we been up to? Well I have been doing itching and lots of it! Just when I thought it was safe, having made it through the spring and summer with few poison ivy woes, I am going out of 2011 with a big bang. I am covered head to toe. I HATE going to the Dr. Mike will attest with some of my silly excuses but I finally gave in and went to the walk in clinic Monday night. Unfortunately even prednisone and the antibiotic don’t seem to like me. I am hoping in time I will look and feel normal again. At least I have two little love bugs, a great husband and Christmas music to keep me cheerful.
We’ve had a different sort of week. We spend the day on Monday with baby Ashley as she is now on vacation! It was a great start to our week, especially since we missed seeing her last week due to the weather. I headed to the Dr.’s following and in an attempt to keep my mind off of itching, met my friend Leeanne (who thankfully wasn’t too scared of me) for a delicious dinner. Always nice to be out with good company and distracted!
Tuesday was a work day for me and a Mamie pamper day for A & C. Great day for all. I truly do look forward to going into work with Mike. I like feeling accomplished and like having something that I can contribute to make Mike’s life a bit easier. It is also a welcomed change of pace for the boys and I as I think after 6 days together, sun up to sun down, we do get sick of one another.
To add to our wonderful week of power outage and itching frenzies, we woke up this morning to find that my back tire was completely flat. Humm, okay not so bad, right? That’s what we thought until we realized that the tires have wheel locks for which we don’t have a key. Now that presents a new set of problems… A flat that you can’t remove. Always fun. New keys are being expedited but in the meantime, we are home with a car but only 3 working tires, lol. It’s a good things it’s a quiet week. Always an adventure.
Today A & C had their 2 3/4 year doctors appointments. Dziadzu was my accomplice and chauffeur since my 3 tires wouldn’t get me very far. Man oh man, I guess that means my little men are going to be 3 in 3 months. We are all getting SO old! Anyways, the check ups went great. Christopher is a whooping 23 pounds, 9 ounces and is in the 1 percentile. Aiden is 25 pounds, 12 ounces and is in the 5th percentile. They may be small but they are continuing to track on their own growth curve which works for me. Small boys = less back ache for me, so sign me up! While we were there, my two little superstars got their flu shots without a tear or whimper. SO SO SO brave! (Okay truth be told, they each received a new pair of ToMator “bravery socks” this morning as I called them and a Frosty from Wendys afterward. Worked like a charm). After their appointment, we packed up and headed to Bristol to visit Babci with Dziadzu. It was a great way to spend a beautiful afternoon!
No new pictures to post this week. I blame it on the fact that I am too distracted with itching and washing my hands constantly to get anything else done!
