What an amazing day today was! The weather couldn’t have been any better. While we had plans of working on our basement project all weekend, we decided to head outdoors today to enjoy the sunshine, a refreshing walk and the chance to catch up on some last minute yard work. What a nice treat for the end of November! I was beyond thrilled to score a few extra hours to work on garden clean up (and yes, I guess it makes me OLD when these are the things that excited me)!
Thursday we had a fun day with Ashley and despite the cooler temps, bundled up and headed out for some fresh air and to burn some much needed energy. The kids love being outside and I love anything that keeps them happy! We also enjoyed doing some Thanksgiving crafts projects together. I love how the kiddos love doing crafts. Now I have partners in crime!
Friday we met Ashley and Steph at Northwest Park for our 3rd attempt at Christmas photos. I think we have a winner and we got some cute shots of all of the kids. It was cold and its quite possible that we have some little Rudolph noses in our photos but at least we got some smiles too. Steph was a great help and it was so nice to have their company. We were super lucky and discovered a play area indoors in their nature center that the kids loved and it gave us all a chance to thaw out. We had a blast and headed home for lunch. Mike came home early so we could head to Amherst for a super fun night with the Schilling family. We enjoyed a delicious dinner and Aiden and Chris loved being waited on and catered to in a way that they usually don’t get. Soooo spoiled! The Schilling girls were all great little Mommies and we all really enjoyed our time together so much that we lost track of time and had super extended bedtimes for the boys… oops! Well worth it though!
Saturday we ran a few errands, did a few chores and relaxed together. It was the weekend of hair cuts. I went short and so did all 3 boys. Change is good, right? I think we were all overdue! Mike and I both agreed that we weren’t sure where the day went yesterday but we made up for it with a super productive day today.
I am in the holiday spirit and am so excited for the weeks ahead! This week we wish Grammie and Dziadzu a very happy Anniversary and we wish Grammie Pt., Uncle Jerry and Great Grandma Tess happy, happy birthdays! What a special week to celebrate!
Here are a few pictures from Northwest Park. The boys had a blast in the leaves! I love this time of year!
