Above (Chris, Left and Aiden, right) posing in their new shirts. This is Chris’s new tiger shirt to replace his 18mo old “belly” tiger shirt as we like to call it and Aiden’s new blue fireman shirts. The oldies but goodies have finally been replaced and I consider that a HUGE success!
Can you believe this weather??? Incredibly beautiful… and amazing that we get a few inches of snow in January and it is ALL melted in only a few days! I actually found myself with no coat and the car window cracked on my way home from work yesterday… January 24th…. can you believe that?
So our news is getting redundant. We’re still busy bees in the basement and feeling like the end is finally in sight (well until we get a new set of tasks that is!). We have a few more days of some finishing spackling/sanding and we hope to start the ceiling installation this weekend. So exciting!
Work went great yesterday and the boys loved seeing Mamie, Great Grammie Tag and Grandpa. They love the change of pace and were so excited to go to Mamie’s house. I was happy to have a productive day as I was trying to proactive with my work, knowing I won’t be in next week as it is the be “D” day. Dental day that is… Implant part 2. I was thrilled to have friends willing to take a break from their busy lives to visit and enjoy some delicious food last night. Thanks Heather and Leeanne!
Today poor Calvin had a cold and Ashley is with her Grandmother this week so we ventured out to the East Granby Library in lieu of our regular play date. The boys love it and it was a happening place mid-day. We always love having new reading material because within one week of getting a new book, we have it memorized. I guess that’s what happens after reading anything 8-10 times a day…. no joke! We have some eager readers here I guess!
We headed home for some lunch and a visit from Dziadzu as I had a closet consultation with the design team and a representative from California Closets. Have I mentioned that we are getting SO excited! Storage, storage and more storage. Oh how I adore thee! I was thrilled to meet with Annie Selke’s design team afterward as they shared a few more details with me. The photo shoot is set for February 23rd so one month from now, we will be relaxing while the boys play in our amazing new space. Check out our progress below. I will have to dig through some old photos to find some “befores” to share. I know that they exist…. somewhere!
It doesn’t look like much…. YET
