As I write I am enjoying a little crunch fest. I rummaged through our pantry and made a stash on the counter of all things “crunchy” and appetizing that I might feel tempted to eat over the next few weeks and I am having a little feeding frenzy for myself. I guess it’s a good thing that I was motivated to run this morning and we snuck in a family walk this afternoon to off set my caloric intake. Tomorrow is “D” Day part 2…. Dental Day…. It’s exciting and nerve wrecking. I am excited to have this in my past and excited to eventually have a new tooth but nervous about the statistic that there is still a 10-15% failure rate after having sunk our kids college saving into my tooth fund, lol. So instead I sit here, stress eating, not sure if I am actually enjoying any of it and tomorrow I will be on day 1 of my forced mushy food diet. Sounds appetizing, doesn’t it?!?
We were little weekend warriors and were so thrilled to have a super productive weekend with help from Mamie and Grandpa and Grammie and Dziadzu. It is amazing how much can get done with extra helping hands and extra sets of eyes for the little guys. Our ceiling is well underway, we got a bunch of painting and priming done, more sheet rocking and of course more spackling. A week wouldn’t be complete without spackling. Please start lining up your spackling and sanding projects for me for when we are done with this room as I am fearful that I might go through a bit of withdrawal.
Our week and weekend can be summed up in one word… basement. That’s been our life and we are happy to share some pictures of our helpers and progress! We had a few play dates scheduled Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and for one reason or another, none of them worked out, so we stayed home, stayed comfy and got to work!
Our little bakers making some Valentines Day sugar cookies
Until Wednesday, enjoy the start of the week and I’m heading back to enjoying my tasty goodies
