Above: Dziadzu playing Hungry, Hungry Hippos with A & C (Thanks Suzy & girls! It was a HUGE hit!) Chris (middle) and Aiden (Right) busy at work playing Bob the Builder. Chris is “Muck,” Aiden is “Scoop,” I am “Wendy,” and Mike is “Bob.” Don’t worry, if you’re planning a visit anytime soon, there are plenty of characters to go around and you will surely be assigned one in no time at all!
Monday went well and I thank everyone for their well wishes and special prayers. I feel a bit like I was on the losing side of a street fight but it can only be uphill from here with this sore mouth! My diet leaves a bit to be desired and its safe to assume that I will be at the grocery store ASAP on the hunt for some soft deliciousness. I am SO grateful though to my mother in law and dad who were a huge help and my guardian angels helping with A & C so I could recover and be back to being Mom today.
In light of my swollen face and mouth that tires after talking only a few minutes, we have been laying low this week and it’s been nice. For me at least! We will be more than excited to get back to our regular schedule next week but in the meantime I am loving my sweatpants and comfy clothes. Aiden and Chris have been my sort of little helpers. Helpers when they choose to be and stinkers the rest of the time but that’s why we love them!
In anticipating that the coming weeks could be a bit busy with our basement activity, I started the boys birthday interviews early this year. I figured I would share my favorite reply as it totally reinforces where we are at. The questions started with what do you think of when you hear the following words “love, family, fun….” Echoed by both when asked “what do you think of when you hear the word “Home”, they replied “Home Depot.” That’s right folks, we are frequenting Home Depot more than any gas station, grocery store or otherwise these days!
PS- Was it really 61 degrees on February 1st??? Rock on Connecticut weather!
