Gosh… what to blog about? My frustration with dental and medical coverage not covering ANYTHING, Microsoft Access eating up all of my “free” time or the beautiful sunshine that is peaking through the clouds and the amazing surprise that I received from friends yesterday (see pic below… thank you ladies. such a thoughtful, special idea!)
What else is new?
We have been trying underpants at night Chris is doing amazing and Aiden is trying hard and so close. It’s been a week. The best news is that even when we have an accident here or there, we are still totally diaper free… yippee! Success is just around the corner.
I started what I thought was a good habit…. turned bad. On Tuesdays and Wednesdays on our trips from Belchertown, home I started asking the boys to create silly stories with me. I always battle to keep them awake on the rides as I know that even the smallest nap will kill bedtime (not that it matters as they now stay awake, playing in their rooms until 9 most nights.) So…. last week I started telling made up stories about anything that boys choose. They loved it, it kept them awake and it was such a huge hit that they want to do it for every car ride, the entire ride long. Two – 50 min rides, twice a week with story telling the entire time. Harder than it sounds. I guess I’m working my creative juices.
The boys have discovered the fun of sticking their fingers in our box fan. Trouble. I am hoping the scary stories we told of consequences change their minds.
Our garden is ready to be planted. Now we just need some plants! And… I need to get back to taking more pictures. So much more fun when they actually let you!
