What a weekend it’s been.  Sunshine, laughter, fun, friends, family and of course some dreaded chores.

This past week I celebrated my second year in a new decade of life… the big 31.  Thank you everyone for your special thoughts and messages.  My phone was down to 15% battery life by 1 pm so that’s a lot of love received.  It was a special celebration complete with cake and dinner of my choice at my parents.  I was spoiled and have so many new goodies to enjoy in my old age.  I also got a few fun hours out on my birthday with my mom and shopping partner in crime.  So fun, even if its mostly browsing and dreaming.

Saturday we had a lazy chore morning followed by more birthday fun as we celebrated Livia Locke turning 4!  So fun to catch up with friends while watching the kiddos have a blast. We headed home for some more chores and work before calling it a day.  Do the chores ever end? Sunday we got out for a family walk before the day heated up and we got home and got back to work.  We spread mulch, weeded and pulled out shrubs for most of the day.  With the way I am feeling I could swear I must celebrated my 40th birthday without knowing it.

After busting out butts, it was nice to pack up and head out early today to Boston for the boys first Red Sox Game.  Thank you Joe for such a treat!  We were thrilled to grab lunch with Auntie Stephie, Auntie Sarah, Uncle Jerry and the babies before heading into Fenway.  It was a great game for the sox and so fun to see it through the eyes of two three year olds who were totally clueless and not even sure where to look or who to root for.  When we asked Chris his favorite thing about the game he replied “the Tigers.”  Could have been harder to swallow is the Tigers had won.  Aiden learned and replied “the Red Sox.”  In Chris’s defense, tigers are one of his all time favorite animals and I am not sure red sox sound as appealing when you’re that age and base all decisions solely on the sound of something.  We made it to the beginning of the 4th inning before we had two wiggly worms who had already eaten their way through cotton candy, rip off water and now wanted ice cream, all after just eating lunch out.  We had a blast but decided it will be a few years before we return with the boys.

Here are a few highlights from the boys first Sox game.
