What a gorgeous turn this week has taken and just in time for the weekend.
We were thrilled to see the sun Friday as we had planned an afternoon at Forest Park with childhood friends, the Wood’s and Grammie. We met for lunch and were excited to leave the umbrella’s in the trunk. First on the agenda was the zoo. As Aiden and Chris get older it is fun to see their interests change and they are both animal lovers for sure. After the zoo the kiddos burnt some energy on the playground before settling down for a picnic lunch. What a day to be outside! After lunch it was back to the playground, part 2, before taking a ride on the zoo train. We even snuck in some time to stop and “smell the roses” in their rose gardens. It was so fun to see my kiddos playing with the kids of my childhood friends and so fun to catch up years later.
Yesterday we spent the day painting and updating our big boys room. Pictures to come soon. I will willingly admit that I am an awful painter but I am thrilled to have it done and they have a pretty rocking big boy room which is as always, a work in progress.
We spent the rest of the weekend doing chores around the house and catching up on some projects. A great feeling! The boys enjoyed the sunshine, some freeze pops, playing in the yard and the slip and slide that Daddy created down their swing set. Leave it to Daddy!
Last week I caught the boys on action as they said “Look Momma, we redecorated the playroom!” Look closely and you will see that their tastes for design vary a bit from Annie Selke from Woman’s Day’s ideas.
Here’s to another wonderful week in June! Enjoy!!!

I can't wait until they learn to "Slip & Slide", down the cellar stairs on their bean bag chairs!
