We had a weekend to celebrate in Belchertown! I enjoyed a fun morning out to celebrate the anticipated arrival of my dear friend Heather’s baby boy. We can’t wait to meet him in early October and were so excited to get together to celebrate!
We also enjoyed a dual birthday celebration for Dziadzu and GG Mimi. We enjoyed a delicious meal, visiting with everyone and of course the presents and cake!
School for Aiden and Chris has been going well. They seem to be settling into their new routine well now that they are both going together. I am so thankful to not be having the “refuse to get out of the car” argument daily. They boys usually compete to tell stories about their day and their stories often end up merging and morphing into rather large, make believe tales. Always amusing! I do love to hear about their new friends and my highlight of the afternoon is arriving a few minutes early as I get to watch Christopher in action on the playground right before pick up time. He is at least a head shorter than everyone else in his class and he tries so hard to keep up. Its priceless watching the way he looks up {literally and figuratively} to the older kids in his class. You can almost see his mind wander then he looks up and realizes everyone is doing something else and he darts off to join. It’s so very amusing to watch. Especially when I know that he tends to be the dictator at home with paired with his brother.
Mike’s got a busy week of work ahead so the boys and I are hopeful that the sun will shine and their moods will be high so we can make it through this week in one piece!
