Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow….

Oh the weather outside is frightful but the fire is so delightful, oh there’s simply no place to go, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

Can you believe this? An accumulating snowfall on November 7th!?!  The boys school had early dismissal and it sounds like several other Connecticut schools were following suite.  How exciting!  The best part…. we truly had no place to go!  We enjoyed eggnog, Christmas music and playing in the flaky white wonder.  The boys were in their glory.  They have been talking about snow since last winter when it was non-existent! The best part was Chris’s comment while playing.  Aiden asked Chris if he would pull him in the sled.  Chris replies “I’m getting too old for these kinds of things” as he pulls him around the driveway.  I wonder where he’s heard that before?

We’ve had a great week.  The boys enjoyed an afternoon out with Mamie yesterday and met Grandpa for lunch at Friendlies.  They also visited Grandpa at work and went on a shopping trip.  What a day and they were even luckier that Mamie saved them from having to go to a doctors appointment with Mommy!

This week we are 16 weeks along.  I am enjoying this in-between phase where the food aversions, morning/all day sickness have lifted and I am still able to look down and see my toes!  The appointment went well and all testing so far has been inconsequential… Just what you want to hear!  I got to hear the babies heartbeat which is truly the best sound in the world.  Such a blessing and miracle.  The best part…. I was able to convince my OB to let us have the gender reveal ultrasound just before Thanksgiving at 18 weeks instead of 20 so that we can share the news with our families {and of course friends and blog followers}.  I can hardly wait and I can’t believe that in less than 2 weeks, we will know what our future holds! Will we be saving for dirt bikes and protective gear or proms and manicures?

Here’s the 16 week belly shot.  Brace yourself… I’m getting big! {and let me just tell you, my view looking down looks HUGE….it’s safe to say that there is no more “sucking it in” option}
