We are finally back up and running and in good health and it feels gooooood! Hip hip hooray! This may seem a bit premature but I am very much looking forward to the nights when we can have the windows open and hear the crickets chirping. Yes, I know we’re months away but the milder weather this past weekend and week ahead gives me hope. Aiden, Chris and I snuck out for some fresh air on Saturday and it felt amazing. Sunshine and exercise truly do a body good. My cranky pants were in high spirits and LOVED zipping down our front hill on their new sleds from Auntie Laura and Uncle Eric. If it weren’t for the trees that line our driveway, I am quite confident that they would have landed all the way in the conservation next door. This Momma on the other hand learned after one run that maybe being pregnant and going sledding weren’t the best companions. Trying to be fun and perhaps a bit youthful, I hopped on, unprompted and took the sled for a spin, only to remember all too quickly what it felt like to go off of our cliff retaining wall, landing on my bum. Lesson learned.
Aiden and Chris started back to school Wednesday and it’s been great. We all crave routine and its been nice getting back on schedule. Dziadzu and Grammie came for a visit on Friday which was day 2 of painting the nursery for my all too kind Dad. The boys were in their glory seeing them and we all enjoyed having their visit to look forward to. The nursery is coming along great and needs one more coat of paint and we’ll be ready to arrange, rearrange, decorate and enjoy the goodness of a new room! I am SO thankful and can’t wait….
We had an amazing night out at our friend Adam and Gina’s on Saturday. Gina is quite the chief and made a delicious dinner. We so enjoyed catching up and they of course spoiled us. It was just what we needed!
This week we look forward to comfortable weather with the hope that we can get outside for some more sledding fun (minus Momma’s runs this time!)
This is just how exciting our life was last week… Taken out by illness!
