Week 32

In celebration of Week 32, I decide to dedicated the beginning this of this post to our “little man.”  By week 32, he is approximately 16 1/2 inches and 4 1/2 pounds!  He loved it when his big brothers drove their monster trucks on my belly this afternoon and I considered it a massage of sorts Smile

How far along? 32 weeks! {Crazy to think that Aiden and Chris made their grand appearance in two short weeks.  Nursery’s ready but bags aren’t packed and I’m certainly not “there yet…” so stay put little man.

Total weight gain/loss: 16 1/2 pounds as of my last appointment 1 1/2 weeks ago.  I’m going again on Tuesday for the latest and greatest!

Maternity clothes?  Sweatpants round the clock.  If I do get brave and “dress up” {a.k.a. jeans}, they come off as soon as we come through our front door so be prepared should you ever decided to stop over unannounced!

Stretch marks? Nope, fingers crossed that my dedication to applying lotion and oil 3 times a day will work {after all, it’s only fair since I’ve sacrificed at least 10 shirts that are now stained from the oil used for this cause!}

Best moment this week: Having one night… yes, only one….. where both Aiden and Chris slept through the night.  It’s been a rough few weeks.  Don’t ask ;)

Miss anything: I miss my body and I miss being comfortable.  It is amazing how much wearing a “torpedo” around can age you!

Movement: Rarely an hour goes by without you reminding me that you are there….One of my favorite things!

Food cravings: After 62 pounds of oranges in 6 weeks {and no, I’m not kidding…}, its safe to say that I have outgrown all food cravings.  I may even go so far as to say that food is a turn off for me.  Not much sounds appealing to me these days.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Queasy at night again for no good reason at all.

Have you started to show yet: My torpedo is hard to hide! I discovered Mike’s sweatshirts this week and have taken quite a liking.  I am eyeing his winter coat next… shh.. don’t tell him.  Mine may be getting a wee bit tight in the coming weeks.

Labor Signs: Lets of braxon hicks, especially when running.  Always a good reminder to slow down a bit!  {And also, a good reminder to make me nervous about the impending labor and REAL contractions…There’s only one way out at this point, right?}

Belly Button in or out? TBD.  In for now but it won’t be long.

Wedding rings on or off? On {when I remember!}

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!  I admit, it feels good to grunt a bit when getting out of bed {at least twice a night for bathroom breaks) but outside of that, I have nothing to complain about….. check back in a few weeks and you may find me answering differently.

Looking forward to: Feeling “ready.”  Does that really happen?  We didn’t make it to that point with A & C but as long as little man stays put through the last few risky weeks ahead, I can see myself getting anxious and ready.  In the meantime, I have some baby books to finish and scrapbooks to start for my other big little boys.

As you can see, we’re progressing and it feels great!  I sorted through the last of our baby goodies from the attic and feel great about that.  Mike was home with us all weekend and it was such a treat {hence my productivity with the remaining baby to-do’s}.  Mike and I went out of our first date since the summer on Friday night.  With Grammie and Dziadzu in charge, the boys had a blast and we did to.  Sometimes its nice to feel like an adult again :)

Mike and the boys went to a Monster Truck workshop at Lowes yesterday morning and had a blast. I took advantage of being able to get some work done for Mike while the house was quiet and it was a great way to start a weekend, feeling so accomplished.  We headed out to celebrate our buddy Kameron turning 3 yesterday afternoon and were so pleased that the nasty winter weather decided to stay clear.  The boys had so much fun and as always, Mike and I enjoyed the visit and chance to catch up with some super fun people.  We laid low today as we had a little man that was under the weather.  Sometimes you just need a day like today and I think it was just what the doctor ordered for all of us!  We’re excited for a break of warmer weather this week {yes, 30’s is warm!} and are very much looking forward to spring being just around the corner!  Happy almost March!!!
