Happiest Mothers Day to all of the incredible women who dare lucky enough to be called Mom and to all those who play a special role in a child’s life. This Mother’s Day I am thankful for my amazing husband who shares three priceless gifts with me; toddler kisses; infant snuggles; hand holding; the magical words “I love you Mommy”; amazing smiles; contagious laughs; endless curiosity; and the three amazing little men who give me the privilege of being their Mom. I am truly blessed beyond measure. I had a wonderful day. Some may think I’m weird but I spent the day cleaning and organizing. Something that always seems to get pushed to the bottom of the list, never getting accomplished. I can sit down, feeling great, even though it truly only lasted about 30 minutes. We also snuck in a short family walk to enjoy the amazing weather. I have incredible boys who surprised me this morning with a special Mommy book, complete with their signatures and Jake’s foot print. I am in love and so thankful they have a wonderful Daddy who helped.
Thursday night my amazing friend Leeanne and my amazing mother and I went to David’s Bridals. These lovely women accompanied me to give me an honest opinion on bridesmaid dresses for my sisters wedding. Not my favorite thing to do trying on dresses 3 weeks after giving birth but they were great sports and I am oh so grateful to have them in my life! No comes decision time… which dress to buy????
I am finally starting to feel brave enough to be mobile with the 3 boys. We snuck out Friday afternoon after school to meet some of Aiden and Chris’s classmates at a park. The kiddos had a blast, burned some energy and I enjoyed getting to know some of the moms.
Yesterday morning I “braved it” again successfully with all 3 as Aiden and Chris had their 3rd week of Fun for Fours sports camp which is sponsored by our recreation department. There is nothing cuter than watching several 4 year olds attempt to learn the rules of soccer. While one little boy stayed busy moving the goals closer together (about 2 feet apart) again and again, another occupied himself by using his hands at each opportunity, another more interested in ant hills and all headed in the wrong direction, clueless about the thought of getting the ball in the goal. So sweet and entertaining to watch! After camp, we headed to Belchertown to celebrate with my mom and Grandmother and had a blast. Mike had to work for the day but it was nice to sneak out and have a welcomed change of pace and unbeatable company. It was great visiting and we were thrilled to get to see Auntie Laura and Uncle Eric as well.
I am so incredible blessed to have the worlds best Mom and Mother in Law. Truly. I don’t know many as lucky as I am to have two incredibly beautiful, selfless, loving, strong, compassionate women who set the bar high and always leave me speechless with the grace in which they serve everyone around them. Thank you for keeping me feeling loved, for keeping me sane and for teaching me everything that I know! I love you both!
My camera won’t load but I’ve got one new picture of little man to share:
