Boy it has been a whirl wind around here! New in 2015, we put our house on the market (my very first listing as an agent!) and we have a contract on a new house less than a mile from where we currently live. We’ve been busy packing, sort and depersonalizing. We’ve splurged to rent a storage space and filled it. Goodness, we have acquired a LOT of things over the years. We’ve got big plans and big projects ahead as the new place is foreclosure that has been unoccupied for over a year and will need quite a bit of love to make it feel like home again. Gosh, I think it took us years to feel cozy on Cain Street. Perhaps kids will help liven and cozy Willow Creek?!? We’ve got list upon list and high hopes for our new spaces. I’m a dreamer and finding it hard to sleep with the excitement of it all. Since moving to Suffield we’ve had a “dream” neighborhood. This new house and new opportunity is the first step as we move to Willow Creek located just off the Main Street in Suffield’s historic district. It’s a gorgeous neighborhood of well kept houses and from the play yards we’ve spotted, we are hoping we may have some new young friends. We will have sidewalks leading from our street to the center of town which is a dream. The boys will each have their own rooms which is their dream and Mike and I will share an official office space. It’s going to be perfect and I am guessing we may not sleep for a few months years.
One of the best parts is that our current home is going to wonderful new owners and a girl I have known since childhood, one of my best friend’s cousins and her adorable family with two young boys. We started the formal MLS process and were bombarded with interest. We were thrilled with the positive feedback but so happy to put all of that aside as we went under contract within 2 days. We are busy finalizing the process this week and so very excited for everyone involved. Here is a glimpse at the pictures of our house show ready. I can now attest to the fact that it is no small feat to have a house show ready day after day with young children home during the day.
