The summer is slipping away! In two weeks we will have two FIRST graders! Wowzers, that makes me feel old! Aiden and Chris are super excited. Next week we get to meet their teachers and see their new classrooms. I’m hopeful the adjustment won’t be too difficult as we’ve got early risers but like all things, new routines always take some adjustment.
I am thrilled to be enrolled in Coldwell Banker University starting in September. I will be learning the ins and outs of real estate from A to Z and am excited to have something to look forward to. I’m one of those weirdos that enjoys school. Jake will be keeping Mamie, Grammie and Daddy company on the days I am in class as it’s a bit of a hefty commitment time wise but one I hope to prove fruitful.
Last week we enjoyed some play dates with friends. With cooler weather the park was the perfect way to break up the day and sneak out for a bit. We met our friends Connor and Caitlyn on Monday and Aiden and Chris’s friend Noah on Wednesday and our friends the Locke’s on Thursday. Grammie and Dziadzu invited the boys to join them at Grammies work party on Saturday and they willingly accepted. They had a blast and continued the fun through the night at their sleep over in Belchertown. Mike and I crossed a few chores off of our to-do list and had a great, quieter weekend. It is always such a treat to feel accomplished as jokingly, not so jokingly I told Mike that I think my love language is getting projects done…. all joking aside, maybe I’m a weirdo but there is no better feeling!
Aiden and Chris started soccer camp this week at Valley Brook. The camp runs Monday – Friday for 3 hours in the morning. They’re having a blast and coming home hot and beat. The sun stepped it up a bit this week but they don’t seem to mind and they’re coming home pumped for soccer to start this fall.
Today after camp Mamie took the boys for a few hours. All three were looking forward to their special lunch and swim date. The kiddos can’t get enough of their grandparents. I’m confident that they’d pack their bags and take the nearest jet plane to Belchertown or Southwick if allowed. As a parent, there’s no better feeling and we are blessed beyond measure to have TWO amazing sets of parents in our lives! oxo
