Pre-Easter

This is the ultimate time of the year.  Sunny skies, warmer temps and NO bugs or poison ivy… yet!  If that day could be just a few hours longer, I might feel like I am making progress in my to-do list.

Our poor littlest bee bop wasn’t feeling well yesterday and needed some extra TLC.  I was happy to oblige.  Baby snuggles are top of my resume these days!

After settling in from church and errands yesterday, we headed to Windsor Rehab to visit Grandma Tess.  The weather was amazing so we visited outside before heading to their sponsored egg hunt.  Aiden and Chris were oh so excited!  Jake loved the bunny…. from a far!  They had the hunt split into two age categories.  The poor big boys were a bit trampled by bigger kids that were out for the win.  I am not kidding when I say that there was a father on the side line cheering on his almost teenagers and instructing them where to turn next and what strategy to take.  I can’t imagine life in that house if he gets that excited over an egg hunt for kids.  I pray to god that we don’t have parents like that on our sports teams some day.  Gross….

Jake on the other hand found one egg and was happy as a clam.  He plopped himself in the grass and was good for the next half hour.  The Easter bunny took a liking to Jake’' and delivered a few eggs from the hunt for him between his legs.  It’s safe to say that we all had fun!

We headed home for Jake to take a late but much needed nap.  The big boys were thrilled to see that our neighbors friend’s daughter, Cameron, was over and they were on a mission to impress.  They had half of their bedroom unloaded into their playhouse in a half hour flat.  Show boats I tell ya!   Jakke took a great nap so I took advantage and got two new coats of paint in the front bathroom.  I am much more pleased with the color.  I can’t say that I may not be repainting within this year but for now it’s much improved.  Mike power washed the back deck and porch furniture and I power washed the front porch and brick on the front of the house.  I cleaned the car, painted the armoire and did a bit of indoor cleaning.  A relatively productive day at that!
