School here we come...

Chris with his new Hat from the Senf's! With the black and white it reminds me of a step back in time 50 years ago.

Aiden sporting his new birthday hat from the Senf's. I hope these hats fit for years to come!

Chris (L) and Aiden (R) busy free crawling in the backyard today and having a BLAST!

Aiden (L) and Chris (R) soaking in the sun.

Chris (L) and Aiden (R) out for our wagon pull yesterday.

Aiden loves crunching leaves and sometimes accidentally forget that the crunching is supposed to be done with your hands, not your mouth. If you look closely, you can see his playschool battle scars.

Chris is trying to get his hand stuck up the water faucet. Don't ask why the non-skid mat is on the wall. That would be a VERY good question!

Chris (L) and Aiden (R) - Double take

Chris (L) and Aiden (R) - No camera tricks here, they really are IDENTICAL twins!

This was a big week for Aiden and Chris. They started playschool at the Suffield High School on Monday morning. The combination of playschool starting and changing the clocks made me nervous as it meant the boys would skipping their morning naps to have the new "playtime." They did surprisingly great! Chris was immediately attached to one of his students, Armando. From the first day that we walked in, Chris put his arms out and had an immediate best friend. Aiden on the otherhand was a bit more cautious. He wasn't too sure about the new room and new people but did manage to have a ton of fun with all of the new toys! Chris has two male students and Aiden has two female students that watch them. The students all seemed to get a kick out of the boys since they are by far the youngest and tiniest in the group.

On Monday Grammie Hopkins went with me and stayed for the boys first day. It was nice to have the extra set of hands as we settled into our new routine. The playschool meets Monday - Thursday for about an hour a day which is a bit of a refresher for me. I haven't left the school yet and spent the last 2 days in the car catching up on old magazines but in the future, the hour gained may be the perfect time to run some quick errands.

Yesterday as a rough day for Aiden but he took it like a champ! He has clobbered over his left eye by a drum that came flying through the air at playschool. The poor tike has a small cut and large welt but was very brave and only cried for a few minutes. We came home yesterday afternoon and all really enjoyed the awesome sunshine and warm weather. You certainly can't beat a 60 degree day in mid-March! We went for a walk in the afternoon and went for a wagon ride when Daddy came home from work. The boys love being outside, taking it all in!

Today was another great day at school. The boys got their first report cards and they did great. Aiden was described as "happy, curious & entertaining" while Armando described Chris as "happy, curious, active, playful & excited." Definitely scrapbook materials for when I finally get around to starting them! Tonight Mike and I took the boys for a later afternoon walk to the playground at the elementary school down the street from our house. The playground was definitely built for older kids but the boys loved swinging with us and sliding down the slide. On our way home, an elderly gentlemen pulled his car to the side of the road and asked if Aiden and Chris were twins. He then proceeded to inform us that he had 9 boys and 6 girls, of which 3 were sets of twins! I truly can't imagine... 15 kids and 3 sets of twins! I guess we have it EASY!

Aiden and Chris are both working on getting in their two top teeth now. Aiden has almost broken through but along with this fun comes some uncomfortable moments and fussiness. Overall, they have been great and are very excited to eat any small finger foods to put their new teeth to good use!
