Christopher admiring himself in Auntie's mirror.

Auntie knows the way to the boys hearts - sweet treats!

Aiden (L) and Chris (R) were obsessed with climbing into this chair in Auntie Laura's room. I think maybe they wanted to stay overnight... Auntie are you up for sleepovers yet?

Chris (L) and Aiden (R) both decided to climb into the same beach chair even though we had two of the same exact chairs side by side. Luckily the boys are small so there was plenty of room and no need for argument!

Chris (L) and Aiden (R) picking up the slack with housework while Mommy was sick. This cleaning is a start... now if only we could make it more efficient we would be rocking and rolling!

Although the weather has cooperated, my health decided that it would not. I guess some how my immune system failed to get the memo that Mommies aren't allowed to get sick. So the sun was shinning and the week was great despite the flu/cold combo that knocked me down for 3 days and with no voice to yell at the boys with! I say this with my fingers crossed but so far Mike has yet to get sick and the boys only seem to have the cold portion which we will gladly take with a smile on our faces! Mike was a great help and "stepped it up" as I like to say it and my mom also decided to brave the germs and although I quarantined us to our house for the tail end of last week, she came for a visit on Friday and was nice enough to give me some relief from chasing two fearless, energizer boys all day long! It was a great visit and the boys were fearful as Grammie left!

Fortunately with sickness in the air, it makes for a short blog - happy day! Not too much to report. I cancelled most of our plans and we finally resumed a semi-normal life again yesterday afternoon. If I had the choice of when to be sick, I would actually pick the summer months. At least you can open all of the doors and windows and get some fresh air flowing... At least that is what I keep telling myself :)

Yesterday morning I participated in a volunteer project called Angel Foods. I know that I have mentioned it before but it is a great program that our church is participating in and everyone can benefit. The program is worldwide and there are no income contingencies. I can't personally speak for the quality of the food because I haven't purchased any myself but everyone that came and made purchased yesterday raved about the quality and price. Check it out - https://www.angelfoodministries.com/. It was very rewarding to participate in and it was great to get out and feel productive!

After the boys afternoon naps and some play time at home, Mike and I decided to beat the heat so we packed up and headed to our town beach at Sunrise Park. So 30 minutes of packing and driving ended with 30 minutes of time of the beach before the rain started... bummer! It was one of those situations where we were glad that the boy's weren't old enough or capable of arguing because you can almost hear them saying "But we just got here!" After the boys went to bed Mike and I went on a bit of a cleaning binge. I guess I needed to catch up after being down and out for the past few days. (Man did I feel lazy being sick....)

I forgot to mention that we have a new neighbor! The beautiful farmhouse next door that needs some major TLC has a new owner. He decided to keep like simple for us and goes by "Bill." We traded in the previous owner "Phil" for a "Bill" and we now have two neighbors named "Bill." Ideal for those days of early onset dementia! He is a single guy (from what we can tell and what our spying has proven so far) and he looks to be about 30. Maybe a prospect for Auntie Laura??? JK - She would KILL ME!! (But really, how cool and how ideal would that be if Auntie Laura decided to meet and marry the new Bill so she could be next door all of the time.. okay, okay, I was getting too excited and too carried away! Maybe this is what happens when you don't get out enough???)

Speaking of Auntie Laura - we decided to pack up and took a spur of the moment trip to Worcester to see Aunties new place today! Since the boys were still in the midst of their colds we skipped out on sharing our germs at church today and saved them all for Auntie. We had a great visit and we LOVE her new place! It is so cozy and as my mom and I both decided, we could happily stay there for a weekend away. Maybe that's what Auntie can give for Xmas presents this year? A house swap weekend, hint, hint. We had a great visit and the boys quickly helped us find anything that was not baby proofed and gladly helped Auntie rearrange everything else within reaching distance. I am sure she will be finding surprise for weeks to come. Thank you for opening up your house to us Auntie!!!

I am not sure what the week ahead will bring. I am hoping for good health and clean germs rather than shared illness and postponed plans but we shall see!
