Happy, happy Birthday Auntie Steph!!!

I am off my usual posting schedule but it is a sign that we've had a great, busy weekend!

Humm... thinking back. The crazy snow of Wednesday threw our weekly plans for a loop but we still managed to squeeze in quite a bit of fun! With over 24 inches of snow within less than 24 hours, we were forced to wait for our plower to bail us out! Thursday afternoon we were happy to have our friends Jenny, baby Hadley, Steph, baby Ashley, Megan and Calvin over for a play date. Even Daddy joined our play date! Our friends braved the roads and A, C & I were all thrilled to have them and ready for some company! We had a fun visit and the boys quickly fell back into their baby obsession. They LOVE babies and are quite fond of Hadley, Ashley and baby Emme. We hear about them often.

Friday we spent the day inside but I was excited to head out for a ladies craft night at my friend Karen's house. I thoroughly enjoyed good conversation, company, food and of course, crafts. What could be better? I got home all excited with new ideas and projects running through my mind but convinced myself that going to bed was a better idea. And yes, I lay awake with my mind wondering around the possibilities.

Cali had a magnificent transformation on Saturday morning. We dropped her off for a haircut (a 6 hour haircut!) and she came back a NEW kitty! Literally! From the time she returned home with a new hair do, she has taken on a new interest in the boys. Perhaps the boost in her confidence has kept her upstairs more often? Or maybe it's the fact that the boys can no longer pull her hair? In either case, she now spends much of her waking hours upstairs and taunting the boys in some fashion.

Saturday Mammie and Grandpa Hopkins came over for some outdoor fun. The big boys (aka Granpda & Daddy) built a great fort and sledding path and introduced A & C to the snow. Aiden and Chris loved the snow for the first time but not to play in, rather to shovel. We're working on raising two work horses, lol. We had a fun visit and the boys enjoyed their new experience.

On Sunday we were finally able to celebrate out Ptaszynski Family Christmas Party that was postponed due to the last large Sunday snow storm. We headed to Cheshire, CT and had a great time. The boys were in love with being in a new place with so many people that love them. They quickly made themselves at home and were warmed up in no time. They take their job as the group entertainers seriously and love to perform! Before we knew it the night has slipped away and it was time to head home for bed. Unfortunately Daddy had to visit the Tag's party solo as we were running much later than we planned and were already way past the boys bedtime. Daddy had a fun time visiting, enjoyed seeing everyone and came home raving about the food. what a great day of family for everyone!

Today we were thrilled to have Mike home! His work appointment was rescheduled and we enjoyed every minute. The boys went to their first puppet show at the JCC with our friends Mathieu, Caroline and Rob. We were also excited to meet two of their friends and enjoyed playing on their indoor mats afterward. A & C were also troopers, shopping with Mommy & Daddy for a bit before naps. They love being out and about and love being helpers in every way possible. We relaxed and enjoyed each other company after their naps and were excited to have such a fun start to the week!
