Birthday boy Aiden LOVED his choo choo cake and icecream!

Chris was more interested in playing with the cake than eating it.

Saturday was Uncle Andrews real birthday. Happy 23rd Uncle Andrew! He was a great sport and was willing to share his day with A & C so the 3 youngest Hopkins shared the choo-choo cake as there was a passenger for each of them (see below)

T
he choo choo cake - The frosting smudged overnight but it was fun to make and fun to decorate! The pan is available for borrowing for anyone that might have a train theme birthday in their future!

Auntie Sarah, Great Grammie Tag or "Tag" as the boys call her and Chris.

Some of the gang watching the present opening festivities!

Who knew Mike had a hidden talent? To entertain the boys in the morning, Mike made balloon animals and balloon hats. He has skill and is available for birthday parties for all ages!

Birthday boy Chris in his homemade birthday shirt (pants of his choice) and balloon hat that Daddy made!
My birthday surprise for them was homemade train conductor hats but they weren't the hit of the day as you can see from the pictures. We have dress up days everyday so maybe they will come around one of these times...

Chris saying "party, party, party!"

Aiden dressed up playing Dr. the day after our appointment. He likes anything when HE is the one in charge and is a master of playing pretend!

Woo hoo, we made it to Two! The boys had a truly awesome birthday week and yes, it felt like we celebrated all week long with the wonderful cards, messages and surprises they received!

Thursday afternoon was the big "W"... Weigh in! The boys were talking about and requesting to go to the Doctor's all morning long. Little did they know what that really meant. After naps we met Grammie Pt at the Dr.'s where they quickly learned that wasn't the place to be asking to go to. Actually, they were chanting "doctor, doctor, doctor." We haven't heard it since we returned home! The boys hated the experience and didn't even have to get any shots. As you may be guessing they are still super tiny BUT we made it on the charts!! Woo hoo! They didn't even have to adjust for coming 6 wks early as they had before they were two. SO.... Chris is now 20 pounds, 11 oz and is in the 1% but hey, it counts as being on the charts! He is 33 inches tall which puts him in the 16% and is in the 72% for head circumference - the only thing big on both A & C. Aiden weights 22 pounds, 9 oz and is in the 2% and is 33 1/2 inches tall and in the 83% for head circumference. Although they were small, the Dr. was pleased because they are at least finally "tracking" or making some progress. We are going back in 3 months for a check up and weigh in but won't need to do anything else then because they really aren't scheduled to go back until they are 3 typically. I was also thankful that we went because we learned that poor Chris has an ear infection. Tis the season. I can not thank Grammie enough for being my right hand man! We have to get some blood work taken in the near future for both A & C just to recheck their stats since they are still so tiny but we were happy with the outcome!

Yesterday was their family party and it was quite a party at that! The choo-choo theme was a hit and I think everyone had fun. I sure know that the boys had a blast and could not have been more in love with everyone that came. They were their usual show boat selves and were showing off with all of their new words and the 5 colors that they know (red, yellow, blue, white, black and brown)! They also know #2 & #3 (apparently #1 isn't necessary) and they know some shapes. We're making progress - perhaps that's why they have huge monstrous heads! I think the pictures from the party say it all, so enjoy!
