The view of the ocean from our bedroom. If only we could wake up to this every morning of every day!
Beth + Mike + Maine = Rain…. We have proven this equation to be true two years in a row but enjoyed ourselves immensely none the less. It's amazing how therapeutic a weekend of nothing can be. We arrived mid-evening Friday and cut our afternoon a bit short today because of the rain and our excitement to see Aiden and Chris. I am the first to admit that I am a busy body. My body must be busy at all times or I drive myself nuts. Weekends like this force me to do nothing but enjoy my amazing husband. We had great conversations, great food (including of course Congdon's donuts every day!), great times of nothing. Making room for some time for dreaming; time to enjoy the scenery and the beach around us; time for recalling favorite memories and time just to be US! It is amazing how quickly "nothing" time can pass! We are so grateful to Mamie, Grandpa and Auntie Steph for letting us enjoy ourselves so much, knowing that our two most precious little trouble makers were in good hands!
Aiden and Chris enjoyed a fun weekend at Mamie and Grandpa's with Auntie Steph. They played outside, enjoyed the dogs, enjoyed their trucks, enjoyed the change of pace and all of the treats that go along with being spoiled by your Grandparents and Auntie and enjoyed sleeping in BIG BOY beds for the first time! It is a toss-up as to whether we continue the sleeping arrangements at home. I say no, Mike says yes. Big boy beds to me means that I am admitting that I have two big boys. Am I ready for that? Humm… Not so sure.
It feels good to be home and good to be me again. Time away does a body good. I am refreshed and ready to enjoy A & C. Here's to a week of fun and time with my little ones!
