We’ve been busy…. having some fun… can you tell?
Friday we started the day early with a fun play date. Surrounded by tons of new friends and new mommies, we joined a new playgroup before we enjoying lunch with our friends Annie, Charlotte and Erica. The boys play silly and love their potty talk, especially when they are with girls. I think they love the attention and giggles they get and their lunch date was a success on that front.
After our morning and afternoon play dates we headed out to do some birthday shopping. Aiden and Chris had a blast shopping and picking out the perfect presents for Mamie at TJ Maxx. It was a tough choice but Aiden came home with a stunning doggie picture frame that says “Live, Love, Bark”; Chris, an orange candle. Mamie’s reaction was worth the trip!
Saturday we finally had our much anticipated get together with our friends the Schillings. They joined us for the afternoon and Aiden and Chris couldn’t have been more excited to be hanging out with big kids that noticed them. We are still hearing about the big girls! Mike and I of course loved catching up with Suzy and Pat and so enjoy seeing A & C have so much fun.
We then headed out for a surprise birthday for Mamie! We were excited to celebrate Mamie and all that she does for those who love her. We also loved having the chance to see all of the Aunties, Uncles, and new adorable little nieces of ours. So fun!
This morning we said goodbye to Mike for a few days. He was up and out early and off to a conference for work in DC. We decided to make the most of the day and headed to Holyoke to check out the carousel with Grammie and Dziadzu. The boys glowed and quickly ear marked their favorite horses which they named and rode again and again. As always, Grammie and Dziadzu were great sports. We also checked out the river and a healthy kids festive that was going on. We headed back to Belchertown for dinner and enjoyed an afternoon with their company. So nice to have adult company for the day, so thank you Mom and Dad!
