Size matters

It amazes me that “size” matters, even at age 3.  Picking out outfits is a big decision at our house.  Add to that the fact that we are now in between sizes.  Aiden and Chris can fit into a size 2 but once they learned that there is a size 3, they quickly told me that size 2 is for babies.  It’s a good thing they can’t read and sizes can be subjective.  Today while choosing jeans, Chris told me that he would like to wear size 3.  This coming from a kiddo that’s still 25 pounds drenched and can barely keep a size 2 up around his waist.  {Thank goodness for adjustable waistbands.} I think most adults would agree… size really does matter although we’re on the opposite spectrum…. bigger is no longer better!

We are yet again mixing up our schedules.  This week, I started working with Mike on Mondays and heading to Belchertown on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Ashley still comes Thursdays and our new free day is Fridays making for awesome long weekends and a good chance to get chores done early.  So far so good.  It is a nice feeling to be half way through the week and have accomplished a lot on the work front.

Aiden and Chris had a great day at Mamies.  Mamie was amazing as always and kept A & C longer so that I could make it to my long awaited follow up appointment for my implant. And…. well… it took successfully and I am on to the next and FINAL stage!  For that tooth anyways.  Perhaps I should consider a career in dentistry.  I could be my best patient.  I guess that’s not really possibly anyways.  Yesterday, I was on to dentist appointment #2.  A large broken filling which quickly turned into a need to save for a crown and possible root canal.  Seriously, me and my teeth don’t get along.  I am sad to think that over the course of the life of my teeth {31 long years}, I likely could have purchased a brand new BMW in place of my braces (twice… thanks Mom & Dad!), multiple fillings, crowns, root canals, cleanings and now implant.  But on a happier not, I have an awesome Honda CRV that runs like a charm {so who needs a BMW anyways}, the sun is shining {rain, rain go away!} and we have dentists that are able to make all tooth mishaps right again {for the right price of course}.  I’d say that I’m pretty darn lucky.  Now onto another fun day at Grammie and Dziadzu’s for Aiden and Chris and some zucchini bread baking in the meantime!
