I just love this time of year!  We get to see our families, stay warm and cozy inside and listen to Christmas music late into the night.  Life is good!  I was quick to put away my Thanksgiving decorations in preparation for Christmas.  In my opinion there never seems to be enough time to enjoy all that Christmas has to offer.  Seriously, we have one month…. one…. and lots of shopping, music, seasonal stories, baking, decorating and fun preparations.  I could enjoy this time of the year for at least a few months {but you already know that!} So in light of the holiday crunch in my eyes, I wasted no time in pulling out some Christmas decorations.   I have bins and bins and each year I still get excited to find the perfect spot for our special décor.  Let the season begin!

We have been fighting a nasty cold for over a week and I can’t quite seem to convince it that it should leave our house and find a better a place to reside.  It’s the kind of cold where it hits you worst when you lay down at night and can’t stop coughing.  Poor little baby boy isn’t too happy about it either and has been a busy beaver at night this past week.  Oh how I miss the simple solutions like cough medicine!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving and I hope that you did too.  Ours was just the way it should be.  Surrounded by family, friends and lots of good food and good times.   For as much preparation goes into one simple day of entertaining, it is always a great feeling to sit back, days later, enjoying a clean house and a food full of leftovers.

This week we wish Grammie, Uncle Jerry and Great Grammie Tes very Happy Birthdays!  And we are off to celebrate in Belchertown later today!

Here’s our little family and my big belly on Thanksgiving!  Ready or not, here we come week 19!
