Week 26

Meet our big little man.  Week 26 and he’s about 14 inches long and 2 pounds {although Mommies gained multiples of two!}  Growing, moving and reminding me that he is with us all day and night long.  Dziadzu came twice last week to finish painting the nursery and we are in the process of organizing, decorating and settling into this newly rediscovered space.  Okay, some may call it nesting and maybe I should be saying “me” instead of “we.”  15 Loads of laundry later, the preemie, infant and 0-3 months clothes are washed and currently being sorted.  We have been blessed by so many adorable little outfits and I must admit that this may be the first time in months, perhaps years that I was excited to do laundry.  In my book there’s nothing cuter than newborn sized mini-me jeans.  Melt my heart to picture a little man snuggled inside. I also must admit that it is amazing how many little man clothes fit into one washing load.  Amazing.  I swear I was folding all day yesterday and Christopher agreed.

Thursday’s cleanings for Aiden and Chris had me sweating it out for a while as Chris, the first victim refused to have his teeth cleaned, counted or looked at and down right refused that he has teeth hiding in his mouth. After attempted negotiations with zero success, Aiden finally agreed to go “first” but only if he could sit on Mommy’s lap. That’s a deal I’ll jump at…. The cleanings although brief happened and that’s all that matters.  One poor hygienist did both exams after Chris realized there was a treat box that he couldn’t pass up.  Not quite the success and ease of our first experience but there’s always another opportunity only 6 short months away.

I was thrilled to meet my mom and sister on Thursday night for Laura’s final wedding dress fitting.  The dress is officially hers and she looks down right amazing… For those joining in the celebration this October, brace yourself…. she will be gorgeous as always!  It’s feeling so real and I couldn’t be happier for them.

Other exciting news…. My littlest cousin Max turned one this weekend.  We were excited to head to Grammie and Dziadzu’s to celebrate this handsome, happy little lad.  Aiden and Chris are always up for a party and frankly I am guilty myself :)  Check out this little cutie and my shiny, happy little men (Chris, L, Max, middle and Aiden, R). What little hams!
