Easter Bunnies

Can you tell what we’ve been up to???? The Easter festivities have begun as we stuffed close to 1000 Easter eggs for our church egg hunt.  If you’re looking for something fun to do the Saturday before Easter and are able to make the drive to Granby CT, you won’t be disappointed as there will be over 16,000 eggs for the festivities!  I was so grateful for my two little bunny helpers who stuffed about 20 eggs each in exchange for one treat each.  Happy, excited helpers and one happy Momma!

Thursday we received some scary news as we had our chimney inspected and damage assessed.  Based on the repair men’s initial reactions, we knew we were in rough shape.  It has been about 3 weeks since we started smelling gasoline in our house.  After a second furnace cleaning, inspection and assessment we were left without any explanations.  The good news is that Thursday brought us clarity.  The bad news was the level of damage, potential risks and immediate repair job.  As we came to learn we had a massive crack in the flue of our chimney and a high risk of carbon monoxide leaking into our home.  Not great news when you have two young children and a third arriving shortly.  So… without having any time to waste, we had the repair done Friday as a happy early birthday present to Mike and myself.  Thank goodness for emergency funds during times like theses.

This week and next are the weeks of appointments.  I had my annual physical, regular OB visit and a much overdue haircut!  We also had a super fun visit with Grammie on Friday and we went to check out Bounce Town in South Windsor.  The boys had a blast, wore themselves down and were ready to go once the crowds showed up.  I was super thankful to have my moms company and extra set of eyes!

Friday night my mom and I started some wedding shower planning.  It’s so fun to start to figure out the details and I couldn’t ask for a better partner in crime.

Yesterday Mike worked for a bit in the morning before we packed up and headed to see Auntie Laura and Uncle Eric’s amazing new home in Rutland, Ma.  They are just settling in and are doing a fantastic job making the home cozy, warm and inviting.  They’ve got a great eye and a beautiful new home!  While we wish that they lived closer, we are so happy for them and hope to schedule another visit soon!

Today was Bridesmaid day as we all met up, enjoyed some food and headed to check out some dresses.  Laura has a great group of girls and we all had a blast.  We’ve got so many fun things to look forward to and I can’t wait to get to spend more time with these lovely ladies!

Here’s to another busy but exciting week ahead!

PS – Congratulations to Juliet on winning the Shutterfly photo book.  You should be receiving your free promo code from them shortly!
