It has been 13 months in the making…. long days and long nights…. hard work…. lot of love and dedication with the end result - an amazing, totally renovated house. Today we cut our losses and say goodbye to this gem. If you’re wondering what I’m referring to, months back, I shared some pictures of the incredible transformation that Mike and his cousin Drew performed to an older home in Suffield. Last November they jumped into an undertaking that was no small deal. Some may even call it a doozy with the luck {or lack there of} that we’ve had there. These two hulks totally gutted and renovated a charming 1500 square foot bungalow from top to bottom. We’ve talking a major facelift but inside and out, an addition, all new floors, walls, ceilings, roof and every major thing you could think of. An incredible kitchen and three brand new bathrooms. It’s a gem in my book and I’m so proud of them for their discipline and follow through. We’ve learned many lessons along the way and for this reason, I am pleased to see this experience in our past. Today we closed this chapter in our life, noting it as a learning experience; an adventure. Good bye Boston Neck Road. We hope that your new inhabitants love your charm as much as we did!
Yes, today may be Friday the 13th but in our book, it’s turned out to be a good day! Here’s to special memories and bright beginnings for the new owners and new projects for the newly freed up Hopkins and Tagliavini families!
PS – We said goodbye to the house with style….. A little family picnic and Christmas dance party on our final night of ownership.
