It is probable that I was more excited about today than Christmas morning. Chris and Aiden were asked to participate in their class holiday performances. It was a last minute plan but they were soooo into it {maybe Christmas spirit is genetic?} It was also their first day of staying for lunch and staying for an extended day at school. They beamed with pride all day long and practiced their signing all week. Chris’s class did a Charlie Brown Christmas spin off, dressed as elves and sang Angels We Have Heard on High. Aiden’s class joined forces with some of the older students and sang jingle bells. Both boys were like deer in headlights and admitted to being nervous while on stage. Aiden was so serious while Chris followed his teacher’s every move including seating and quieting the audience {if only he listened that well at home…. he must use up all of his listening magic at school!}The audience was filled - standing room only and Mike and I wouldn’t have missed it for the world. I was that Mom that was there 45 minutes early to get first {and yes, I mean 1st} choice of seats! It was priceless. The kids were precious beyond words and Aiden and Chris were of course, the littlest ones on stage.
For memories sake, here are a few snap shots. I apologize for the distance and lack of clarity. Just remember that it’s the characters that count :)

How fun for the boys (and for you)! I can't believe they're old enough to be in christmas pageants.
