And just like that, our little man turned one! I found myself glancing at the clock all day, recalling where I was and how I was feeling one year ago. We were elated to meet our little man and so thrilled to settle back home as a family of five. I remember meeting him for the first time, counting fingers and toes and thanking God for blessing us with a truly perfect little boy. One year later and I have nothing but praise. He is yet another man to enter my life, steal my heart and melt me to the core. Full of spunk, always lively and with a mind all his own, he has a way to slow me down, remind me of what’s important and keep me off task for in moments when we both need a snuggle. Those eyes, how they can win over anyone! Jacob Michael, you mean the world to all of us and we are so thankful that we were chosen as your family. Happy First Birthday to my littlest little man.
Here’s Jake’s birthday breakfast. He’s a boy who eats everything but he sure did enjoy his first cinnamon bun {and helped himself to seconds!}
Opening presents was not a problem with two helping hands…
And of course it wouldn’t be a good present if it wasn’t broken in first…
And never fear… when you find your feet shy of touching the ground, there’s always another option….
How sweet is he?!?
